Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player
I have a Creative Labs Vision M: 60GB MP3Player. The computer recognizes it, Windows Media Player 11 will sync it, but Creative MediaSource 5 does not see the player plugged into the computer.
The actual Creative Labs site is useless and their "Contact Us" page doesn't work.
Probably a hardware issue - replace the player
you can try the soft fixes:
Reset the player
Update the firmware
I stumbled on a knowledge base on the Creative web-site after I had registered the player; maybe this was not available to me previously.
This player has a Reset button sunk into the base. It needs a prod with the end of a paper clip during the boot up. The resultant Recovery menu gives the option to Format the disc which I've done and successfully loaded my music back again. It is now playing very nicely and hopefully will continue to do so.
I hope this info will help others with the same problem. I t appears that the music files can become corrupted very easily.

well, i had the same problem as everyone else... when it is not plugged to the wall it wouldnt even turn on. When I plugged it in, it showed the plug icon, but not the charge icon...
I gave it a try at the creative website, and found the recovery tool... i downloaded it and updated the firmware... and then it is charging again! hope that helps.
