Can i connect my canon pixma mp780 using wireless feature?

While this printer has a lot of features, built-in wireless connectivity isn't one of them. To use this printer on a wireless network you'll need a print server. If you already have a wired/wireless router on your network, you can use a wired print server like this one. Connected to one of the router's wired ports, any computer on the network could share the printer. If you don't have a network already or just want to connect wirelessly to the printer, you can use a wireless server like this one. Then the printer becomes a stand-alone wireless device. (I only picked the servers used as samples because I get a lot of parts from Tiger Direct and they are typical devices. There are many other sources and models, obviously. But you'll know what you're looking for.)

The MP780 is not a wireless printer. It must be connected via a USB cable. Please see the information here:

This is what the service manual says:
(1) Clean the Document glass.
(2) Check the connection
between the contact sensor
and SPCNT board (JCCD1).
(3) Replace the SCANNER
unit.
(4) Replace the SPCNT board

Hello. If I am not mistaken, I believe that you have an issue with your computer driver. I completely understand, and strongly agree that Mac's are far superior than PC's. In that case, I would like to help you with the PC issue. One problem you might have is that your driver may have not been installed properly. Go ahead and finish that.

yes easy to fix, just share your print driver give it a share name like canonmp780 on the pc it is connected to
then get on your laptop asuming its on your wireless network and in the start bar run this command. \\ your computer name one printer is connected to \ canonmp780.
so if your computer name is windows and your printer name is canonmp780 the run command will be: \\windows\canonmp780 hope this helps and really easiest way to connect to it.

Is this scanner installed onto a Vista computer?

In some cases the scan button may not operate without a memory resident program installed.

It will work by selecting my computer and selecting the scanner on the window. By double clicking on it, it will scan whatever is on the glass.

Not knowing where you are from, I can only give the following help.

Do a Google search using the following text:

pixma mp780 +driver

Note the "+driver" (no space between the "+" and the word "driver").

This will bring up a lot of sites where you can dowload the drivers.
