Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Hi my dell latitude is not booting i have just installed windows XP and its installed sucessfully. installed audio drivers and it prompted for restart when i pressed ok it not booting. iam geting dell logo and status bar 95 persecent full and stoping. plz assist me in resolving this. thanks in advance
Was this a reload of XP, if so what was the cause for the reload? This sounds like the hard drive may have failed. I've had them where the reload seems to take , then it either won't boot or will have issues running properly. This is caused by one or two bad sectors in the drive. The drive has many sectors, depending on the size. First try reinstalling XP, if it has any problems during or after the install, then it's the hard drive. If this wasn't a reload or it's a new hard drive let me know and we'll take a different approach.
