Question about Imperial IFS2525 Deep Fryer

Fryer will not fire

My twin basket deep gas fryer will not fire up in the pilot position it stays on ok but when i then turd to on it goes out any ideas

The coil in the valve is barely being held closed. Most of the time, 90%+, the thermocoupler (or thermopile) is bad.

You can clean and check the connections, and test it again. Otherwise, spend $20, and replace the thermocoupler. (thermopiles $50) Reason is, a gas valve will likely cost $250 or more. Good luck - Mike
