I downloaded the *.fw file from the Kodak website and used method 2, which is to put the file on the memory card in the System folder, and turn on the camera and the should be found automatically. For the life of me I cannot get this to work. All the camera does is turn on normally and ignore the file.
Kodak support is a joke. Aside from calling into some call center in god-knows-where that is staffed with people that don't even have any technical knowledge of Kodak products. The rep was essentially looking up the same information from their website I was looking at and then into the call has told me that their Interent connection is down so I'd have to call back.

- By a stroke of luck I noticed one day the model number on the camera is actually C713 ... The two cameras look identical. The firmware is ugraded now so I am all set.
