Question about Acer AL1912 19" LCD Monitor
Sometimes I start my computer, the light on the monitor turns green - the logo appears - after that it shows 'no signal' and the light turns into standby orange, the computer running.
In this stage pressing the restart button of the PC doesnt help, I have to switch power off and try again, sometimes that gives troubles to the PC but mostly then the monitor works again, sometimes I have to try it 2 or 3 times.
What could be the problem???
Try reseating your cable connections. While you have them off, take some compressed air and clean both the connection ports on the back of the computer and cable connections. Check to make sure there are no bent pins on the cable connectors. If you know how, you might also want to open your computer case and reseat your video card and clean your system out with the compressed air. Make sure your computer is completely shut down properly and is unplugged from the outlet when you do this and before you work inside the case make sure you touch the metal side to discharge any built up static electricity you may have so that it does not cause damage to the sensitive components inside your system. If possible you might want to take the monitor and connect it to another computer system, if it works properly on that system, more than likely it might be your video card. Hope this helps
