i have a grand new HP G7000 laptop and it came pre-installed with Vista.
I want to install XP instead because i am more familiarized with XP.
I booted up with my XP cd but it gave me and error stating that the Hard Disc Drive was not detected. please help??? where do i get the drivers?????

i have checked the drivers on the website under Windows XP. there is an Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver. will that help?
i also have the chipset driver, quicklaunch button driver,Atheros WIFI driver, graphics driver and the sound driver.
i then downloaded the Intel SATA AHCI controller driver onto the floppy disk and then followed the instructions by inserting the XP cd and the USB diskette floppy drive and rebooted and booted up with the cd.
i then clicked on F6 and to install a SCSI or RAID driver , then there was a prompt stating that the mass storage device could not be detected, i then followed the prompt by clicking on S (S= Specify Additional Device) and clicked on Enter. but then i got stuck because it gave me an error saying that the "txtsetup.oem could not be read. what now? i am so confused????? Please help
