IP4000R Not printing yellow

I have an iP4000R with the network card and its not printing yellow. I bought a new genuine print head but it has the same problem. I run a Mac and a PC with both showing the exact same fault. Where do I look. Thanks

My Pixma IP4000 was working fine then, all of the sudden, the yellow stopped printing. Even though there is still ink in the yellow cartridge, I replaced it with a new one and it still does not print. The print test shows that all the nozzles are OK, not clogged. Any suggestions?

Hello,
You need to carry the printer to the Canon Care Center there must be some problem with the carriage unit or the logic board if you have replaced the print head and still the problem persists.

The printer is recognising that the Yellow is full but when I print out a test page the yellow doesn't print. Is this a printer or cartridge issue?

Hello,
try to do deep head cleaning, few times. If this doesn't helps you need to remove the ink's and print head and bottom of print head ( where are ink nozzles ) few times press on wet cloath.

Then repeat the deep cleaning.

Brother MFC-640CW All-In-One yellow not printing

if your print head is removable (the thing your ink cartridge clips into) remove it and clean it out with asorbic alcohol on both the print face and the ink inlet area- If your yellow has been empty for a while before you bought a new cartridge, it is possible that ink has dried in the ink channels of the print head and this is almost impossible to repair and you would be better off buying a new print head- Also if you have a fairly new printer you can contact the manufacturer about your issue and they may or may not send you one for free- My KodaK AIO had the same issue and Kodak replaced the print head for free all I had to do was take the time to call them

Canon Pixma IP4000 cyan ink will not flow even though I have repeatedly cleaned and deep cleaned and replaced ink tank.

If you have gone through the process of cleaning and deep cleaning, as described by canon, and you still get no ink flow after printing 2-3 pages, the print head needs to be replaced.
Here is WHO to contact and HOW to install the print head:
WHO: Purchasing a Print Head
You may purchase a print head* for this printer by calling 1-800-828-4040 Monday-Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight. EST, excluding holidays. When calling, speak the term "order parts" when the speech routing system asks the reason for your call. You will immediately be routed to the Parts Desk for assistance. Be sure to have your model number (iP4000R) or part number (QY6-0049-000) ready for the sales person.

HOW: Install the print head and ink tanks correctly iP4000/iP4000R/iP5000

Seat the print head Below is the procedure for seating the print head and ink tanks:
  1. Power on the printer.

  2. Open the paper output tray and top cover.

Note: Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.

  3. After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.

  4. Remove the orange tape securing the print head lock lever, and raise the print head lock lever.

Note: If the top cover is left open for more than 10 minutes, the print head holder will move to the right. If this occurs, close the top cover once and then re-open it.

  5. Remove the print head from its package and remove the orange protective cap.

    <2> Ink Supply Filters

Note: To avoid any damage, do not touch the print head face's nozzle area, electrical contacts, and ink supply filters. After removing the protective cap, set the print head into the print head holder immediately. Do not re-attach the protective cap after it has been removed.

  6. Set the print head into the print head holder, and lower the print head lock lever until a click sound is made.

    Next, install the ink tanks.

  7. Remove the cyan ink tank (BCI-6C) from its package. Pull the orange tape in the direction of the arrow to remove the wrap film completely.

Note: Remove the orange tape completely. If the orange tape is not completely removed, it may interfere with printing.

  8. Hold the ink tank as shown in the image below. Twist the orange protective cap in the direction of the arrow, and remove it.

Note: Remove the protective cap while holding it, so that fingers will not be stained by the ink.

  9. Insert the ink tank into the slot at the right end, and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click sound is made. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.

  10. Close the inner cover and top cover.

Note: Check that each ink tank is installed in the correct position:

The ink color cartridge is near empty or defective.

You need to get a new and HP genuine one.

Thank you

HP will not recognise new cartridge

The problem you are describing with the yellow cartridge sounds like ink starvation possibly due to a clogged print head or an air bubble in the print head. Since the machine is so new I would contact HP to get the print head replaced. As for the magenta cartridge, exchanging it for a new one at the store you bought it from should fix the problem. It sounds like the chip on the one you have is either damaged or wasn't set to read full ink levels.

Canon ip4000r doesn't print 3ebk (black)

First of all... have you tampered with the printer's firmware? If not, it's unlikely it became corrupted. But if replacing the ink cartridges with fresh ones, and using a new print head did not fix your problem, you may be out of luck.

Is this a new problem, or has it always been like this?

Could it be that the print driver is always printing photo? In that case, it uses the narrow black ink cartridge instead of the fat 3eBK cart. You should print a nozzle check pattern and verify that you see the 3eBK cartridge pattern. If you do, the problem is likely SOFTWARE... your driver settings, not the printer itself.

I hope this helps.

Orange LED blinks 5 times then a 2 second green

If you type in 'flashing power light' in the problem box, for 5 you get print head failure, often it means the connectors between cartridge and print carriage are dirty, can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and a soft cloth. there is a sequence of checks and repairs to follow on the canon service page

Changed cartidges & now black and blue don't print on C88+

Try to remove and reinstall the blue and black cartridge and check if you punctured the plastic cap underneath the cartridge itself. then reinstall it and make sure you hear a click or it snaps in. try head cleaning cycle from the utility and print a nozzle check pattern. If same output maybe carts are bad. If that is a genuine epson ink cartridge, call epson and have the ink cartridges replace since they are new ones and for sure epson will send inks since you just bought it. make sure you have date of purchase handy.

pls dont 4get to rate solution if it helps... thanks!!

Kind of an X-file situation there. You should try an other cartridge, maybe that one is defective

Solution: Clean The Print Head Nozzles (Windows) MP500 / MP800
lean The Print Head Nozzles (Windows) The following contains instructions to check the nozzles for poor print quality and perform cleanings of the print head nozzles as necessary. If print results are faint or streaks are printed, the print head nozzles may be clogged. Those phenomena can be improved by performing print head cleanings or print head deep cleanings. nozzlecheckflow_en.jpg
