Try uninstalling the browser in the control panel under add and remove programs look for internet explorer.

also you have spyware or malware on your system preventing it from opening up a browser.

you could install firefox or some other browser like opera or netscape. to see if it works

Diagnose Connection Problems With Internet Explorer
Internet connection and network errors can be frustrating and confusing to a casual computer user.
However, Internet Explorer provides a diagnostics tool to help identify and even repair the most common network issues.
This tool is simple to use, organized in steps, and can help get a computer back up and running quickly.

Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Tools" button in the control bar at the top of the window. From the "Tools" menu, select "Diagnose Connection Problems."
A window will appear, displaying the start page of the diagnostics tool.
Follow the instructions to determine the cause of the connection error.
The diagnostics tool will ask a series of multiple-choice questions about the connection problem you are experiencing.
Close all programs and restart the computer.
If you continue to receive an error when attempting to connect to the Internet, check that all cables and power-supply cords for the computer, modem and/or router are properly connected. Then, run the diagnostic tool again.
Call your Internet service provider's technical support phone number if you cannot resolve the error with the diagnostics tool.

Reset Internet Explorer

Scroll to bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click select task manager applications and processes to see you what's running and ticking over
if you see anything you don't need running select end now and you might uninstall that specific
program if you or computer does not require it to run and
some unnecessary programs that could be jamming up your computer
also under processes see what is ticking over in the background again if you see something you
don't need to be running select end now and users you will see who is using your computer

Why do i continue to lose my connection to the server when playing a game?

The router now has 6-8 computers on it at a time, and it seems to be crashing. Is it because there are too many computers on the router?


Generally a Router can handle 254 System/Computer at a time.

Try Rebooting and then Re-configuring the Router if the issue persists after rebooting the Router.

Web camers crash computer


Normal 0 How much memory is installed in your computer? The camera uses quite a bit of your memory to operate properly and would cause the computer to crash or have poor video. Could be other

Wordperfect 12 keeps crashing each time I start working on a document and attempting to edit. It only stays open for a second before crashing and it keeps happening over and over. So frustrating. What do I...


The document is probably corrupted.

Try a different document - save it under a new name and edit away.

If the problem does not recur, the other document was corrupted.

I had this same problem the other day.
I save often under different file names because my work computer is not stable.

Safari keeps crashing


If Safari does not crash when you have no Internet connection. Try this - change the default web page to Google - it may just be a problem with the website that initially loads.
