I cant change my them on my blackberry 8520 if i choose a other theme it wont appear it stays on the theme that is already in use

and colour changing is settings, options, advanced options, accessibility

First do a hard reset of your phone. By removing the battery while in use. Do not turn it off before removing the battery.
Next, when you download themes on your phone, some times it does not go to your theme in application or in options. Go to menu, select downloads, the themes mostly used to go there, then you move them to the applications.
Once it is there, you will be able to see it in the options. Then it can change from there. If you already have it in use. It simply used to be hiding in different folders so you will have to search it out.

THere are a couple ways to install a theme, the easiest way is OTA (Over the air) meaning you download direct to your device, the other way is to download and install using desktop software,

I suggest using the OTA method, for free themes a great resource is the crackberry forums, try searching on google "Crackberry Forums Free Themes Curve 8520" then all you need to do is click an OTA link, once downloaded to activate go to Options> Display> Theme>Select theme to activate

The SMS/MMS icon is hidden. Either press the menu key twice from the front screen and select show all, or if this option is not available, enter Menu>Options>themes and choose another theme. This should make the icon re-appear

You can do that from your phone browser or you can as well download the themes to your PC and use a USB data cable that came with your Blackberry and transfer it into your Blackberry.
