Grainger sells these units. They should be able to provide the diagrams that you need.

How to wire Dayton capacitor E136401

It appears this is a 7.5 microfarad (mfd) capacitor like the ones installed on fans. If your fan motor has two brown wires, in addition to the black and white power wire, just fasten the two brown wire to the leads on the capacitor and insulate the connection with electrical tape and mount the capacitor in some dry convenient location inside the controls section of your unit. Be carefull to mount the capacitor in a location where it does not short an electrical connection.

If the capacitor is replacing the low side of a dual capacitor, for example a 35/7.5 capacitor, extend another lead from the common side of the dual capacitor to one side of the 7.5 capacitor and place the one brown lead from the fan motor to the other lead on the capacitor. If trying to replace the lower side, it is better to just replace the dual capacitor.

AC condenser motor 3 wires, black, orange, brown. Which is L1, L2 and capacitor ????

The black wire is usually the L1 line connection. The brown wire is usually the capacitor wire, and that leaves the orange wire for the other line connection - either L2 or Common depending on the voltage involved.

HOW DO YOU REVERSE THE ROTATION ON A DAYTON 6XJ04 MOTOR?

If the motor is reversible, you will have 4 small leads that have pigtails that will connect to eachother to make the circuit. Usually they are 2 colors and you will either hook up the matching colors for CCW or opposite colors for CW. If you do not have these leads, you will more than likely have a non reversible motor. You can also look at the data plate on the motor itself and it will tell you the rotation. If it says REV. then it's reversible. Hope this helps and good luck!

Where can I buy a new motor for 20 year old # 3C453 Dayton attic power ventilator: Motor is 1/35 HP, 1350 rpm, 120v, 0.9 Amp, Tag on fan says use #7163-3487 motor. I can't find on internet. Thanks, Carl

I have never heard of a 1/35 HP. However Tractor Supply or a Farm and Fleet Store may carry that motor. If you get the right Rpms, volts and close on
amps, then you only have to worry about the shaft size.

Have a Dayton Model 3e228D heater. Problem, unit fires up but fan does not come on.

The fan switch on this unit is a bi-metal switch located on the heat exchanger. Check for a bad connection. It is 120 volts so be careful when checking. you can test the switch with an volt meter or one of those probe lights to see if the switch closes when hot. you are looking for 120 volts to the blower motor. Spin the blower motor to see if that is bound up with debris.

I have a dayton 1 1/2 h.p electric motor, and need the wiring diagram for 460 volt. the part number is [1] 3n013bb. thanks

Line is L1 L2 L3 to line voltage. wire nut 4-7 together wirenut 5-7 together and wirenut 6-9 together connect 123 to line for low voltage 123 together 456 together 679 together. This works on all dual voltage 3 phase motors. Some of the newer Daytom motors have a plug that you just turn for changing voltage. Rudty

Dayton 1/2 hp dual voltage motor overheats (mtr #6k79). Replaced original motor with same motor overheats in 10 -30 minutes. White lead to #4 terminal, black lead to #1 terminal, ground to casing.

Wiring would be for low voltage 1-3, 4-2. L1 feeds 1-3 and L2 feeds
4-2. For high voltage L1 feeds 1 and L2 feeds 4 with the 2-3 terminals linked by wire or bus bar.
