Rubber screw covers

How are you, mate.

Just read your post on http://www.fixya.com/support/t611175-rubber_parts_needed

The same thing happened to me and I can't find it on e-Bay, and the website given does not have them in grey.

So I was wondering if it would be possible for you to send some to me? I live in Perth, Western Australia

I read the comment about removing 4 small screws on the faceplate of the samsung rugby, but there were two rubber covers over the top screws. Not so with the bottom screws. How do I get to them?

If the rubber covers are over the screws, you will need to remove them to get to the screws. This isn't very difficult. The easiest way is to jut try to peel them off with your fingers, but if that doesn't work, try to wedge a small flat-head screwdriver under it to peel it off. There should be enough adhesive after you do this that they should stick right back on, but if there isn't, you may have to glue them on.

opened torx screws as above, found connector after separation of bezel, careful not to lose screws or rubber plugs (reglue with rubber cement) or the keys (which have a direction to them)...connector for camera is easy (goes to camera, duh!) ...other (white) one is for screen(s) ...pushed it in, screens back ...had to open it again 'cuz it came loose again ...cleaned with RadioShack Control/Contact Cleaner & Lubricant #64-4315 ...pushed it back in very well until I felt it "seated" ...all is fine now...lost 1 of the rubber bumpers ...bought on ebay or from cnn.cn ...all this is for RazrV3 fone... look here for guides: http://incipiotech.com/moto/motorola_v3_housing_guide.PDF and also here: http://www.cellexcompany.com/install/v3_install.pdf ...I had torx drivers and open tool ...cannot be done without torx driver ...can use edge of credit card instead of open tool ...overall VERY EASY to do for even silly me who dropped fone on bathroom floor!!
So Thanks

Samsung phones

Hello there Samsung slider phones LCD or screen problem. Always you have seen that samsung phone get problem like some phone doesnt have light in LCD and some times they does not turn on. Samsung slider phones like G 600 , U 600 . J 700, E250 ,D800 and D900.Slider phones always has Ribben ( slidr belt ). And this ribben always connect phone upper part ( screen ) to the mother board.when the ribben (slider belt) got damage then it gives you that problem.it happens when you use your phone roughly or when you dropped your phone on concrete or any different floor.Mostly Samsung phone model U600 , G600 AND J700 has this problem.whenever your phone gets this problem firstly check. And Do not try any flashing or any kind of software tools. it easy to change ribben (slider belt ). Just get ribben belt or some tiny screw driver and some slider opener. this tools are easy to get from any tools shop. then mostly phone has screw. firstly open the battery cover and take it out and see two hole under the battery and when you slide up your phone then you can see two screw just under your phone top keypad just hold the slider for while and open those screw and slide up then see two rubber things are both side on camera. Use any flicker type things and take out that rubber top then you can see two screw just under the screw open those screw then use the slider opener if the opener is tight if slider is loose the do not use opener just take it out so softly and remove the one side of the ribben which you can see connected of mother board just take out ribben and put new one ribben the put all things back as a normal then tight the screws and put battery then turn it on your phone will turn on.some phone like U600 ,j600,has touch panel. this type of model slider belt or ribben always comes with touch panel and its quite difficult and quite expensive to change.Samsung U600 has this problem mostly because they are very thin and then slider belt is as well thin and they get this problem so quickly.

thanks

How can i fix my phone when the screen goes black ?

Hello,

To fix the screen of your phone, you have to change the flex of your phone before it will be in good condition again.

 1. Remove the four rubber stoppers surrounding the screen to reveal four screws. Remove these screws.
 2. You can now remove the front cover. To do this, use a credit card to lever the cover up. The cover clips on and the levering motion will unclip it. Start at the top, then unclip the cover at the bottom, then both sides.
 3. You should now have the front cover removed,
 4. Remove the rubber part which surrounds the camera. You should be able to lever it out with a fingernail or pen lid.
 5. Now detach the camera from the phone. Simply pull the ribbon away from the phone to release it.
 6. Now unplug the other ribbon, The ribbon attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it up to unplug it.
 7. It is the ribbon you just unplugged that needs replacement, once that is replaced,
 8. Reverse the process for reassembling.
Take care

The tip of my AC charger broke off on the contact post of my samsung sph-a620. A new charger cannot make contact for recharging purposes. I cannot see how to disassemble the phone to access that electrical...

Hello,

To disassemble the phone, you need to get he appropriate screwdrivers and follow the processes below;

 1. Turn your phone over so the battery cover is facing you. Remove the battery cover and battery. Next remove the 2 rubber stoppers and unscrew the aerial.
 2. Remove the screws,
 3. Next remove the 2 rubber stoppers & screws above the main screen,
 4. Prise the back part away from the rest of the phone by running your fingernail between where the two parts meet,
 5. Unclip the ribbon,
 6. After removing the ribbon cable, carefully lift the metal part. Another ribbon will be attached which should be carefully removed. Take the circuit board & keypad out and you'll be left with just the screen and the keypad rack.
 7. On the circuit board, you'll see the charging port and the broken charger that is in it.
 8. Try to pick it out with a pincher, and if you cannot, then you have to replace the charging port.
 9. Disconnect the charging port and replace it with a new one.
 10. Reverse the process to reassemble the phone back together.

 11. Take care.

No screen

Hello,

First ensure that you have not tampered with the display of your phone from the menu.

If you did not tamper with the display menu, them the reason your cellphone is showing just a dim light is because there is a problem with the flex of your phone.

To fix this,
 1. Turn your phone over so the battery cover is facing you. Remove the battery cover and battery.
 2. Next remove the 2 rubber stoppers.
 3. Remove the 6 screws,
 4. Next remove the 2 rubber stoppers & screws above the main screen,
 5. Prise the back part away from the rest of the phone by running your fingernail between where the two parts meet,
 6. Unclip the ribbon that is by the top right on the lower part of the phone, that is the flex of the phone,
 7. Replace it and reverse the process to reassemble the phone.
Take care

OK.

I wouldnt recommend it but...

Back..

Two rubber screw caps on the top, remove them to reveal 2 T6 screws

Front...

Under the walkman label are two more screws.

Then front cover should just come off.

Rubber Parts needed

Actually you can buy the lil rubber stoppers on ebay but there kind of a rip off i think like 5 bucks for 3 or 4 of those lil things. the phone looks alot nicer with them tho so it might be somethign you want to invest in. i can probably send you some in an envelope, what color is it black or gray? you can plop them back in and but a lil crazy glue on the end to keep it in there

REMOVAL OF FRONT LCD SCREEN TO REPLACE WITH NEW ONE

Flip open the phone and look for (4) rubber plugs at each corner of the inner LCD screen.

Using a very small flat-blade screwdriver, pry these rubber plugs out and you'll see the screws beneath them.

Remove the screw and you should then be able to take the flip part apart. Be sure to put the plugs and screws in a secure place so that you don't lose them.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

- Jim
