I purchase the Photo Pad Editor Pro and received a License # also a Reg # but when I attempt to register the product the response is the code is incorrect. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Contact the software distributor directly and explain the problem. Your experience is not unique. Sometimes there is a disconnect between the numbers you are given and the actual numbers of the software.

I just bought a computer and i destroyed the box before i could get the key code for microsoft powerpoint what can i do

1) Locate the Computer's Brand Name, Model and Serial Number (On a desktop it is usually on a white sticker on the back of the computer. On a laptop it is on a white sticker on the bottom of the computer)
2) Find the Tech Support Phone Number for the Computer
3) Call the Tech Support Line
4) Explain your problem and give them the necessary serial number.
5) Depending on the brand, they may keep the key code on file with your computer serial number if Office Professional was bought with the computer.
Alternatively (From the Microsoft Help Desk)

To obtain a new product key for your Office program in the United States, call 1-800-936-5700 and speak to a Microsoft customer service representative. Outside of the United States, call the number that appears in the activation wizard.

When you call Microsoft for a new Office product key, have the following items available for the customer service representative:

  • The product CD-ROM
  • The computer on which you want to install Office
  • The readable parts of your original product key (if available)
  • The ProductID information in the registry

za079005001.gifHow do I find the ProductID?

If you use the Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using the Registry Editor incorrectly. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. Before making changes to the registry, you should back up any valued data on the computer.

  1. Quit all programs that run on Microsoft Windows.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. In the Open box, type regedit and then click OK.
  4. Expand the registry to the following location:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
  5. Under Uninstall, there may be several globally unique identifiers (GUID) that contain long names (a combination of alphanumeric characters). Each GUID is specific to a program that is installed on your computer.za001161375.gif

Select a GUID and then view the DisplayName in the right pane. If the DisplayName is not your Office program, continue to the next GUID. After you find the GUID that contains your Office program, find the ProductID key and make a note of the Data column value.

NOTE The ProductID for your version of Office may not appear in the Office GUID on your computer. Inform the customer service representative that the ProductID is not available.

I can't open SYLK file

are you trying to open a txt file or a comma-separated variable (CSV) file and i bet the chances of the file name having a capital "I: or "D" are good huh.
To open your file in Excel, open the file in a text editor, and then insert an apostrophe at the beginning of the first line of text.
How to Insert an Apostrophe
To add an apostrophe to the beginning of the first line of text in your file, follow these steps:
1. Open the text file in a text editor, such as Notepad. Click before the first character in the first line of text. Press the APOSTROPHE key on your keyboard (').
2. On the File menu, click Save. Quit the text editor. You can now open the file in Excel.
hope this helps , next time tells us the version of your excel and what operating system you are running.

How to make macro using the VBA

You can "record" a macro and look at the code or write one yourself. To see code, you'll need to open the VB Editor using <ALT+F11>. You may also enable the "Developer "tab in the Ribbon using the Options dialog and going to the "Popular" tab. From the Developer tab you can access the VB editor. From this tab you can recod a macro too.

Microsoft Office Clipboard operations VBA coding for "paste all" and "clear all"

very interesting problem, i can't seem to find any code that covers this.

Here's a quick (dirty) solution that should work (however if users of your macro are using different resolutions you will want to check for that and modify accordingly)

Basically you tell the mouse the exact position on the screen to move, then tell it to click. A bunch of example on how to do this are here:

View Reports

Hi, There a couple of different way you could do this and I have put two lots of VB code below that you can modify and use. Firstly you create the Combobox list by choosing the option that you will type the values yourself, you then type in all your report names on each line. After that you can then go to the VB code editor and paste my code in and modify it by changing my report names, (Customers) etc to your report names. Make sure you choose the Combobox and the On_Click option in the VB editor to paste the code into.  I like the first method better which checks the value of the Combobox and then opens the corrosponding report in the maximised form. The second method does the value check before running an assigned macro to open each report. With this you must first assign macros to each report in Access.  Remember each of these bits of code must be placed between the "Private Sub" heading and the "End Sub" ending, and change the "Combo23" name to reflect your combobox too. If you need a hand just email me.

First Method

If Combo23.Value = "Customers" Then
    DoCmd.OpenReport "Customers", acViewPreview, acWindowNormal
    DoCmd.Maximize

ElseIf Combo23.Value = "Customers 1" Then
    DoCmd.OpenReport "Customers1", acViewPreview, acWindowNormal
    DoCmd.Maximize

ElseIf Combo23.Value = "Customers 2" Then
    DoCmd.OpenReport "Customers2", acViewPreview, acWindowNormal
    DoCmd.Maximize

End If

Second Method

If Combo23.Value = "Customers" Then
   DoCmd.RunMacro "Macro1"
   DoCmd.Maximize
ElseIf Combo23.Value = "Customers 1" Then
    DoCmd.RunMacro "Macro2"
    DoCmd.Maximize
ElseIf Combo23.Value = "Customers 2" Then
    DoCmd.RunMacro "Macro3"
    DoCmd.Maximize
End If
