It's possible that the card needs to be formatted. What size card are you trying to put in it? Is it an hcsd?

Make sure your memory card is NO BIGGER than 1 GB which is the LARGEST card this unit will operate with... Yes, they are hard to find that small anymore... but that is what has to be used.

Hi.

Its either the card type is unsupported or the capacity (size) of the card is too big.

Put in card and it says unsupported card

Hi, you need to format your memory card to suit your camera. You can do this by following the instructions in your manual. This is a simple step and make's your memory card "compatible" with your camera. the option will be somewhere in your camera's settings.

Unsupported card

Hi - You can download the manual by clicking the link underlined in blue below:

Photosmart M415

See page 166:

Also try formatting the card in the camera as cards that have been used in other cameras or formatted on a PC may not work correctly until formatted in the camera.

Unsupported card

The first thing you will have to check the card. There is slot on the card that contains a switch. This will lock the card so that it is write-protected. This will cause the unsupported card error.

If the card looks fine, try a card reader just to confirm that the card has not been corrupted.

If the card is functional and you can read its contents from the PC or another SD-slot device, then the issue is your camera. The slot contains thin copper prongs that comes in contact the copper surface on the back of the SD card. If the prongs are bent or damage, then the camera cannot read your card.

I have fixed this before. So if you details instructions, contact me.
