The remote control for my Panasonic SA-HT680 was totally destroyed by 6 year old son (Boys will be boys). I want to replace it with a genuine replacement. Can anybody help me? I have also had the problem of the sound copping out but once the fan was replaced (2years ago) it works just fine. I have my system going on 5 years and I am absolutely happy with the sound. The only pity is that without the remote you can't use most of the functions relating to sound quality.

You can call Panasonic at 1-800-405-0652.
Be ready to give them model and serial numbers to find out availability of replacement remote.
Good luck ( with the remote and your son) !

How do I connect a directv remote to panasonic SA-HT680?

this is what I did & it took all of about 5 minutes.
call tech support for direct TV & they will walk you through the process.
the phone # should be on your bill or you can Google it.
when you call the #, you will get the automated system, say I want to talk to a representative, (tip - if you sound upset to the automated system it will put you through sooner & won't run you in circles for so long, the system is designed to read your responses.)

Got a Panasonic CD stereo system SA-AK410 When I turn it off after a few seconds it turns back on. Is this normal?

That's because you haven't set the clock on the system. I jumps to DEMO mode once you turn it off without the clock set. Clock can be set through your remote. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Maths & statistic

Standard deviation is the average root mean squared deviation from the average of the numbers.

Familiarize yourself with the wikipedia page on standard deviation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_deviation

In this case, your question is easy. The standard deviation is 0, so this means the boys ages are all the same.

So they're all 24/3 = 8 years old.

Proof:
8 + 8 + 8 = 24 <-- satisfies the constraint that the boys ages must total to 24.

Get the standard deviation of these numbers;

8+8+8 / 3 = 8 <-- the average value is 8

The deviation of each boy's age from the average is:
boy 1
--------
8 years old, which deviates from 8 by 0
boy 2
--------
8 years old, which deviates from 8 by 0
boy 3
--------
8 years old, which deviates from 8 by 0

So the deviations are 0, 0 and 0.

To get the standard deviation, you sum the squares of the deviations of each boy, get the average, and square root. So:

0² + 0² + 0² = 0
Average is 0 / 3 = 0
Square root of 0 = 0

So the standard deviation is 0. Which shouldn't be much of a surprise to you. We just had to actually DO the work to show that it was in fact 0.

Disc tray 1 is blinking with 2 ovals around it, tray not in right Panasonic SA-HT680

I had a jammed disc that was causing this same error message. To remove the jammed disc, remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.
