The high cool and high fan does not come on now. However it sounds like the compressor on high cool does come on. Or at least it sounds like it does. Sounds like a hummm. It kicks on a minute or so after I turn on the high cool. But that is all it does. Low cool seems and low fan seems to work fine. Rear unit is working fine

Re: Front unit high cool and high fan not working
I would recommend you take this unit to an RV service center. The issue could be due to many variables. It could be something as simple as the controller board relay or a low freon level. You may also be able to call a regular home heating and airconditioning shop to take a look at the unit. Keep me posted and if you found this solution helpful please rate it when you get a chance. Please describe your controls. Does it not have low fan, high fan, low cool, high cool on the dial at ceiling? If yes, low cool or high cool setting should shut it down when temperature is reached via thermostat dial.
Hello Sounds like the condensor fan motor is going bad.If the fan stops turning or is not turning at full speed, the compressor can not give off heat to the condensor.Which will cause it to shut down on high heat.
So i would start with a new fan motor.Your local heating and cooling supply house should have these in stock.
Sounds like the compressor is shuting down on high heat. There could be a couple reasons for this. 1 Check that proper voltage is being supplied to compressor. 2 Freon level may be low. This would be a service call. 3 Bad or intermitent connection at thermostat. 4 Main contacts to compressor sticking, usually burnt or pitted.
This really sounds like the unit is over heating the compressor to the point of triping the internal high limit switch and just taking that long to cool off before it resets. If it continues to do this go outside and run your water hose over the compressor for at least 30 minutes to cool the compressor down and see if it starts for you then. If so then your unit could be over charged and creating very high head pressures!
Sounds like you have either a bad fan motor or a bad fan motor capacitor. When you turn the unit on with the fan not working, the compressor (the humming noise) runs and gets real hot real quick resulting in the compressor cutting off ( the nothing after) on it's inside high temp switch. This is what the compressor is designed to do so that when this happens, it does not burn the compressor out. Replace you fan capacitor, give the compressor an hour to cool, then try it. In most cases and if I'm correct, the unit will run just like you want it to. Good luck.

This sounds like it is caused by either a high pressure reset. Or the compressor is tripping a high temperature limit internally. One thing you may be able to do is to hose off the coil surface with a garden hose on the outside (condensing unit) this would allow the operating pressure to drop if it is dirty.
Compressors on these units runs at only one speed. The change to high cool is only a change in blower speed moving air faster over the cooling coil. I would have the running capacitor for the fan motor checked. A bad capacitor can cause your type of problem. The other problem could be that the high speed winding in the fan motor is bad. Try it operation in the fan only position through the two speeds. If it works in the low and high speed for fan only your problem could be in the selector switch.
Have someone check the run capacitor of this unit. If the run capacitor is bad over shorted it can cause the unit to run and short cycle on a current overdraw. This makes for an electrical imbalance in the compressor motor. Next step is the compressor is faulty.
