Question about Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS Receiver
I just purchased a Magellan Maestro 4250. I turn it on and it is stuck on the blue screen which shows Magellan in all caps and the loading bar on the bottom. Its stuck on this screen and I cannot get past this screen. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem, please?
No a practical solution, but at least you will get your device repair, after being on hold for 40 minutes I spoke to a very nice rep, unfortunately evethough she didn't admit it, it seems a software problem with the new 2008/2009 map update, in other words no way to fix it, you need to send it for repair, make sure you tell them to update the device with the new 2008/2009 Maps, if not you will have the same problem later on, Good Luck

My Maestro 4250 also freezes on the blue Magellan screen with
progress bar, but if I press the reset bar and power button at the same time I get a Boot Loader Menu screen, but nothing happens it just sits there.

Blue screen problem with a Maestro 3210. I bought the map up date, ran it per the instructions and it wrecked the unit. I have not tried magellan phone support yet. There also seems to be some type of way to get a return number on the web, but that does not work either.

I just called Magellan.....1-800-707-9971. I got my 4250 for Christmas 2007 and never did register it. We did that over the phone and then he gave me a repair order and an address to send the unit to them. It will be fixed under warranty.....my only cost is the UPS or FED EX shipping. He said I will have it back in 7 to 10 days. OUTSTANDING service.
Mine was stuck on the blue screen.......and the pin reset did nothing.
SO......best of luck to you all......and I highly suggest calling Magellan.

The same problem I got now when I accidentally erased all my data trying to upgrade to new firmware sent by Magellan. I think we all need to restore back the data. ANYONE could spare a backup data for Magellan Maestro 4250 GPS please? Thanks.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
