Question about AT&T 5840 5.8GHz Speakerphone/Answering/Caller ID Answering Machine
We like the AT&T 5840 5.8GHz, but I can't find the instruction book and there are features we want to turn off---specifically, we don't want to use the answering machine and we don't want the system to try to let people leave messages. Right now, the phone will ring 10 times and then a message will come on:"Please enter your remote access code".How do we get rid of this message? We have Caller ID w/ name and want people to be able to let the phone ring indefinitely w/o any messages coming on. How do we get rid of the message and complete deactivate the answering machine feature? email: email@example.com

have your lights come on automatically when you walk into an open
garage, you must START with the lights ON. If you don't want that
feature and you want to turn it off, you must START with the lights
turn the feature on, turn the lights on manually with the wall
switch, then press and hold the LIGHT button for about 10 seconds
until the motor unit light bulbs flash. Now, if the light bulbs are
on, manually turn them out and then walk out through the open door.
The light bulbs should come on.
disable this feature, start with the light bulbs OFF and everything
else is the same.
