Dell stuck in power safe mode

A blinking power light is not indicating power safe mode, it indicates a failure of the power supply board in the monitor. Here is a link to repair guides that show how to open and repair the power supply boards in the Dell E173 series of monitors;

Monitor turns on then turns off

The most common cause of power issues with this unit are capacitors on the power supply board. This is an easy repair. Here is a link to a repair guide with full instructions showing how to open the monitor and what to look for and replace to rebuild the power supply board and revive the monitor.

I have a L227WTG and it will noit turn on, power button just keeps flashing and will not tuirn on the monitor. Help?

Unhook the monitor from the pc. Then go ahead and turn on the monitor. If the same thing happens then its an issue with the monitor and the monitor would have to be replaced. If the monitor turns on after unhooking it from the pc then its an issue with the pc.

Hello,

The Samsung SyncMaster 940MW monitor has an issue with the power supply going out. The flashing power light or not turning on are the classic symptoms of this issue. Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com This model is on Monitor repair page #2 We have a step by step repair guide posted that will guide to doing the repair yourself. It involves changing a few capacitors on the power supply. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. If you have any additional questions just let us know at: tech@ccl-la.com

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

No display on SyncMaster 920NW after reboot from power failure

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. Look in our monitor repair section for step by step repair guide for this model it should be the same power supply as the 930. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

No power light

First thing to do is:
check the power cable of the monitor if its properly connected at the back.
check for any damage on power cable, like cut or burn wire.
check the power outlet where your monitor connected.

initially if all of the suggestions was check and did not correct the problem, then you have a problem on the monitor power board or burn fuse. you have two option send it for repair or buy a new one, but i will suggest that its better to buy a new monitor instead of repairing it.

hope this initial info helps.

let me know for any further calrifications.
