Card won't work in my phone

I got this card and I put it into my computer. I used windows media player to sync music onto it. I filled it up completely. I then put the card into my LG VX9400 phone and no music shows up. My phone tells me the card memory is full but it doesn't show any of it.

But when my mom puts the same disk and adapter in the pc she is able to copy the music to her sdcard and then put it in my phone and her disk works in both my phone and hers. we have the same disk except hers is 2gb and mine is 4gb. is my disk locked or something? Help please.

You may need to use the software that came with your phone to successfully transfer/sync files from your PC to the memory card that the phone will recognize. Had the same issue with my phone and what worked for me was to use the software that came with it.

You can try cutting down the name of the file. This worked for me. Also if you have audio editing software to change the name, this will work within the file. I have Roxio Easy Media Creator. Works great for me! Let me know if this works for ya!

hello there are two way u can do that, get a usb card reader and follow any of this process

1. put the micro sd card into the card reader and plug it to your computer then your system will see the card automatically, then open your window media player and the player will detect the card and you will synchronise musics from your windows media player libery to the card.

2. you can copy the music direct from your music folder in your computer and paste it on the micro sd card.

Connect your phone with the card in it to your computer, and move the files over to the 'music' folder on the phone using the Media Manager application that is part of Blackberry Desktop Manager.

I bought a pny 4gb micro sd card for my phone and while my phone will except it when i put it in my computer and try to put music on it it says that there is 0 memory on it and there doesnt seem to be...

It's probably just that you aren't using the correct folders, but...

First, make sure you phone TRUELY sees it as it should. Some phones don't properly handle SDHC cards. As long as it's a picture phone, put in the card(blank and formated) and take some pictures. If you have a data plan, download a tune or two (sprint has "free sample" mp3 download of the week).

Now, take the card out, and access it with the computer.
You should see a picture folder, and a media folder(names depend on the type of phone you have)

Specifically, the music folder is where you want to put your music files.
Also, depending on your phone(you didn't say what kind you had) you should begin trying by uploading 128Kbps mp3 files. Most modern phones should handle that format.

Now, return to the phone, and test it out with either your "mass storage manager" app, or your media player app.

Hi. Well the problem is that your songs probably aren't recognized as mp3 files. I have a SanDisk micro SD and I downloaded a CD onto on a program such as RealPlayer or Windows Media Player first. Secondly, I dragged the files from there onto my SD. Try this but if this doesn't work then take out your micro SD and format it to your phone. This will end up erasing all that you have on there and possibly require you to do it many times just as I had to do, t eventually mine did work perfectly. I hope this works.

In an effort to inflate their bottom line many providers (can u say Verizon) "fix" the phone so that only files downloaded to the phone from their pay-for-Music site will go into the proper folder so that phone sees them. The trick then is to outsmart them by latching onto a hack that will allow u to get them into that folder.
This is especially true for ring tones.

Transferring music

If you want to move music you must use some file manager or explorer!!! It's no need to do that, to move! You can play from your card!!! It's not a problem!!! Just go add files in WMP and select file which you want to add in card or from internal phone memory!!! Because your phone memory is 64mb and it's not smart to overflow it!! It will decrease your mobile speed and stability!!!

You need a card reader. Then you plug the card into it and it'l appear as a drive letter and you can access or copy the files.
