Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
My washer is displaying the DDO error code. Please help?! I am not sure what this means and my washer in not working at all now. Do you happen to know what the problem might be? Thank you-
Excellent solution. I had a similar problem. The trick is to figure out where to put the magnet. I had a hard time with that.
For those like me who might have difficulty finding the spot for the magnet, it goes on the right hand side of the detergent door. The easiest way to do it is to pull the detergent door all the way out of the machine and look at it such that the back of the door is facing you. The magnet fits vertically in a slot on the left side as you are looking at the door (right side of the doorwhen inserted in the machine) in the white plastic. It sits vertically and is held by a small latch. This is not obvious at all...

Ddo means the dispenser door is open. there is a magnet on the right side of the dispensor, if it fell out or if the sensor came out of position you will get the ddo error, ( or if the dispenser door is not fully closed). if you take the dispenser out of the machine and look where the front panel of the drawer and the drawer meet you should see a rectangular magnet 1/4 inch by 3/4 inch. or if you have a strong enough magnet put it on the right side of the control panel where the drawer would set if closed, if the machine starts order a magnet.

Tips for a great answer:
Thank you for your inquiry, edwin chiu!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire washer is displaying the error code "DDO". "DDO" stands for dispenser door open which could be a problem within your door or reed switch. I would recommend opening and closing you do to secure the connection is proper.
If that does not correct the issue I would perform a reset on your washer which you can do by disconnecting the power from it by either unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. Hopefully this information has been helpful. -Matt

Hello geraldinerid - Typically DDO indicates that the washer has detected a problem with the dispenser drawer. Either the drawer is open and will not close properly or a further diagnosis is recommended to have a professional check the reed switch.
