Can not copy from tray/drawer, but get copy from multi-bypass tray
I can not get copies using paper from the tray/drawer, but still get copies from paper loaded in the multi-bypass tray. There are no codes shown on the operation panel. There is no paper jams. It looks like the feeder does not pick up the paper from the paper tray/drawer. Any suggestions?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

from where are u using the A3 paper .
if ur using the drawer then simply select the original size and copy size as per ur requirement and first change the tray paper size to A3 in operator settings.
if ur using by pass tray then be sure to pull the entire tray out as there is a sensor in the last end of the tray that senses A3 and legal paper
Hello, first, do you copy from second drawer or bypass tray or first drawer?
Open the left door, in lower section open the paper cover. Now remove drawer. If You look from the left door side beneath the drum unit, you will see axis with 2 rollers, CLEAN them with alcohol or water by rubbing them, and dry them with dry cloth. Also if you look little closer beneath the axis with rollers you will see the two rollers ( grey, one above the other ) clean them also or replace them if the rubber on them are too smooth.
If the problem appears when copy from second drawer, i.e. A3, you need to replace the pick-up clutch!
If the problem appears when copy from bypass, clean the bypass feed roller.
Someone has told the machine to either make a copy or print from a PC to the Bypass feed tray on the copier. If you are not trying to print something by using the bypass tray then just turn the machine off, then on again to clear the request from the copier. If you are trying to print or copy from the bypass tray then simply insert the correct paper size and direction into the bypass tray slot and the machine should automatically begin printing.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
The document feeder is used for copying and scanning ,it is a unit in a copier where you can placed your documents or originals for copying and scanning. The bypass tray is used for copying and printing, the bypass tray is used for types of paper like plain paper, acetates etc and customized papers. If you want to used the bypass tray for printing you should go to printer properties or configuration and select the tray you want to used like bypass tray .
Does the copier have a duplexer? Automatic 2-sided copying (duplexing) was an optional feature for the EP2030. If there is a drawer in the lower section of the copier labeled "duplex" then your unit has this feature.
To use it, simply select 1>2 (for single-sided originals) or 2>2 (for 2-sided originals) on the "Orig>Copy" section of the control panel (toward the left side).
If your copier is not equipped with a duplexer, the only way you can make 2-sided copies is to copy the first side and then load the copies back into the paper tray or the manual bypass on the right side of the unit.
Note the the copier copies on the bottom side of paper fed from the paper trays, and the top side of paper fed from the manual bypass.
You can download a .pdf file of an operator's manual for this copier from the Konica Minolta website.
Try this spray on a little WD40 on the GLASS and wipe it off.
Yes, you heard me correctly, make sure you wipe it off leaving no residue, but it's still slippery.
the problem may be coming from the glass being too dry and the paper is getting stuckand shifting.
If the paper itself was going crooked it would get jammed or ripped. There is no room for the paper to go through the path crooked so the only way for it to copy crooked is somewhere in the optics.
try doing 1-2 on the glass itself and see if it copies crooked.
The envelope tray is a By-pass tray and can be used for any size paper. You can switch which tray it copies from on the panel tray button.
Clean photosensor or replace actuator on feed roller assy , try to use caned air to blow off sensor located above tray , if you reach in tray slot after removing tray you can feel a black actuator that swings. look there !
