Hi i have an Olypmus UZ800 and it takes only 72 dpi photos, how can i change to 300 dpi, i must insist that i use FINE picture quality

Please don't confuse the input resolution with the print resolution. DPI controls how many dots per inch are printed. It has nothing to do with how the picture is taken, that's controlled by the input resolution (also called image size). The image quality has nothing to do with either, it controls how much the image is compressed before being stored.

Input resolution (image size) is controlled by the "IMAGE SIZE" entry in the Shooting menu. 14 megapixels is the best this camera can do.

Image quality is controlled by the "COMPRESSION" entry in the Shooting menu. FINE is the best quality, least compression.

The DPI is controlled by whatever program you're using to print your picture. Were you to print a 14-megapixel picture at 72 DPI, you would get a picture that's almost 5 feet by 4 feet. Were you to print the same picture at 300 DPI, you would get a picture that's about 14 inches by 11 inches. If you wanted to print a 6 inch by 4 inch picture, you would have to print at about 700 DPI.

Lately, I can only get real low resolution pictures (under 100KB). Maybe I need to do a different setting but I don't know what or how. Thanks!

Go into the menu and under picture quality, change the settings to the highest number of megapixels and best picture quality.

We have a Technika SH-8360, and it appears that the image quality has decreased dramatically, and now the pictures are of a lot lower quality and much grainier than before. What would cause this? Would...

Cameras don't lose megapixels but users can change the settings for them. Go into the menu and see if your camera is set for the maximum number of megapixels and the highest picture quality.

I want to set my Samsung s73 camera back to the factory settings.

You Can Change The Size Of The Picture By Clicking The +/- Button And There You Can Select The Size Used In The Memory For The Picture But You Cannot Change The MegaPixels Used Becase MegaPixels Just Mean The Quality Of The Picture

Internal memory is full

Hi!

Your camera's internal memory can only hold up to 10 pictures ( if it's set to capture at full megapixels). If you want to take more pictures or videos, you will need to add a memory card (SD or MMC card).

Here is a breakdown of the number of pictures you can take with the internal and external memory:

4090d0a.jpg
The 8.0MP to 1.2MP in the table is the resolution/quality setting of the camera. You can adjust it if you want for your camera to hold more pictures. However, lower setting (megapixel) lowers the quality of the pictures.

I hope that helps...

Good luck and have a nice day!

I have a panasonic DMC-Fz8 12x optical zoom camera. How can I adjust the resolution? When I get my pictures developed they are low resolution; you can see the pixels.

Hi!

You need to change the PRINT SIZE and image QUALITY to have have a better picture. Try these:

Press 3049231.jpg then select aa5a871.jpg(Picture Size) . You will be given an option for the number of

pixels - ranges from 0.3 to 7 Megapixel. For better print quality, select 7M.

Next thing that you need to change is the Quality. You need to go back to Menu then 4e59df3.jpg. These are your options for quality:

I hope that helps.

I want to know how many pictures i can take with 2GB picture card

This will depend upon what megapixel rating your camera is, and what quality setting you keep on it. Here is an example, I have a 7.1 megapixel camera and I use the best quality setting, and I get 919 pictures on my 2GB card.

Memories for digital camera

The memory is irrelevant when it comes to quality, what counts is what you set the camera for, how high resolution, how many megapixels. The different memory types hold different numbers of pictures. Seems the Comact Flash holds the most currently, they even have CF cards with hard drives in them. Smartmedia has never gotten very big, the CF holds a lot more and seems to be the type to shoot for, though the new smaller modules are attractive if you need a real small camera, again though you sacrifice size for quality and megapixels.
