HP LaserJet 4100 for all applications in windows 7. When I go to print a document and click on print. The print screen exits, the print job doesn't processes, and the print queue stays empty. Noth

Ideas? Yes. I had this happen on an LJ 1000 while trying to print my tax return. I tried emptying the queue, removing power from the printer, etc, etc. What finally worked was to empty the queue (again), disconnect power from the printer, shut down the computer, plug in the printer again, restart the computer, queue up a print job again, and hit PRINT.
Hope this works for you

Bizhub doesn't recognize new IP address

We had the same issue when we moved two years ago. We cleared the settings (write them down first) shut the machines down, bother printer and server. Then reentered the settings, saved by shutting them off again, then restarted the server first, then the printer. That seemed to do the trick. Good Luck

How to reset ink memory z2320

Here are my initial thoughts:

A. Press 'Order Ink' and continue according to manual without actually ordering ink. At the end of this process, you may have fooled your printer to think that you placed new cartridge. If this is not possible, then your ink station is not very good, they did not reset your cartridge even though it was necessary for your model.

B.
1. Turn the printer off;
2. Enter the Diagnostics Mode by holding down the GO and RETURN buttons while powering on the printer until the display reads PERFORMING SELF TEST. When ready, the display will read PRINT REGISTRATION;
3. Scroll to PRINTER SETUP and press the SELECT button;
4. Scroll to MAINTENANCE PAGE COUNT and press the SELECT button;
5. Scroll to RESET MAINTENANCE COUNT and press the SELECT button to reset the count to zero
6. Press the RETURN button to return to the Diagnostics Mode main menu, then exit Diagnostics Mode to return to normal mode.

C. Use The Printer Solution Center Option

  • Open the "Printer Solution Center" program on the computer associated with the Lexmark printer.
  • Select the "Maintenance" tab in the "Printer Solution Center."
  • Select the "Install a new printer cartridge" option.
  1. Click the "Next" buttons until the "Print the Alignment page" window appears onscreen.
  2. Select the "Print" button. If the Lexmark printer still doesn't read the refilled cartridges as having sufficient ink, repeat the process.

Resetting the Cartridge Option

  • Remove the black and color cartridges, refilled or new, from the printer.
  • Turn the printer off using the power button. Leave the printer off for about 20 seconds to allow it to power down completely.
  • Turn the printer on using the power button. The printer will go through the normal start-up process and will determine that no cartridges are installed.
  • Repeat Steps 3 and 4 five times. This process will allow the Lexmark printer to remove the usual five most recent ink cartridges from its memory and list of current ink cartridges and, as a result, accept the newly refilled ink cartridge.

Wait a few minutes for the non-responding program to start responding again. Be patient and give it some time. This is the easiest way to salvage any work that you did not save before the freeze. If, after waiting, the computer does not unfreeze, move to the next step.
Press and hold the "Ctrl", "Alt" and "Del" buttons in that order. This may unfreeze the computer, or bring up an option to restart, shut down or open the task manager. Open the task manager and note if a program is listed as "not responding." If there is one, click that program title and click "end task." The computer will end that task and break it out of the freeze. If this does not work, open task manager and go to "processes." Look for a process toward the top of the list that is using a large amount of resources. The number next to the process indicates how much of the resources are being allocated for that program. Pick one with the highest number (towards the top of the list) and choose "end process." If your computer still is not unfrozen, move to the next step.
Change the power source of your laptop. For example, if the laptop was plugged in to the wall, remove the plug and allow it to run on battery power. If this does not work, proceed to the next step.
Remove any devices, such as thumb drives or memory cards, that are plugged into the laptop. If this does not unfreeze the computer, move to the next step.
Close the lid of your laptop. Open the lid again. This may snap the computer out of its frozen state and back to the login screen. It may also put the computer into hibernate mode. If this does not work, move to the next step.
Hit the power button. This might bring up a menu asking you if you want to restart or shut down. At this point you will need to restart or shut down the computer. You will most likely lose what you were working on, unless the program has a recovery process to save your work if this situation arises. If the menu does not pop up, hold the power button until the computer shuts down. Wait 30 seconds, then boot the computer up again

Computer shuts down and doesnt allow to use f8. shuts down first. what to do? virus help?

Your use of "and" is confusing. F8 is not used during the shut down process; it is used during the boot up process. Since you mention F8, it is presumed that you want to use F8 to get into "Safe Mode" instead. When you re-boot a running computer, very often you will not be able to use F8, but if you totally shut down, then start from scratch, you should be able to hold the F8 key down and it intercept the boot up process to handle things properly. Don't worry if you hear a lot of beeps during the boot up process with the key pressed; it merely means the keyboard buffer is receiving more key presses than it has room for. Since they all are F8, when the boot up process looks at the characters from the keyboard, it will see the F8 key, then display the menu options to boot into Safe Mode.

Printing blanks

Usually, the thing to do is turn off the printer, shut down your PC and then reboot. Just remember this has to be a cold shutdown, meaning completely off not just hibernating or in sleep mode. You may also want to shut down and then pull the plug on the PC. This flushes away the jobs left in RAM.

In Control Panel, Display, Screen Saver, Power settings is a setting for what happens when you press your power button. Check this setting to make it power off, not Hibernate, not Standby.

All of this is meant to flush out any odd ball print jobs locked into your print queue.

Once you successfully do this, your printer should resume to normal operation..

If not, *please* let me know so we can move on to the next step in a possibly long process of troubleshooting.

Worldvet

I had the same problem with a yellow cartridge, and, fingers crossed, his solution appears to have cured it.

Thank you STP162.
