All this means is that the Copeland monitor is sensing amp draw on the compressor but it is not detecting a Y signal calling for the compressor to run. If there is no problem with the contactor and equipment is running fine, check for the jumper wire that carries the Y signal over to the compressor monitor.

Why isn't my Heil HVAC system working. If I override the thermostat the air handler works but the compressor doesn't. There's full voltage 240V at the compressor and air handler.

The comfort alert control modules fail and will not allow any action to the unit. I've bypassed them and it worked fine but then you don't have that safety to lean on. The alert senses high or low amperage/voltage to the compressor (if I recall correctly) only. If you have 24v to the alert module, and you have allowed time for the delay to pass (usually 3-5 mins), and the module is not sending 24v to the board, then that module has probably given up. If you have 24v at the board then the problem is at the board or one of the safeties connected to it. I've had the sales rep and the parts house manager both tell me that the alert module is a poor design. Its just as simple to bypass the alert and install a delay on make/break timer unless its still under warranty.

I need help troubleshooting my Heil home HVAC system. The system worked fine at the end of last year.

sounds like a bad contactor if you have 24 volts at coil and does not pull in. by manually holding contactor in you are doing what the contactor is suppose to do with 24 volts applied.

Cant turn off my air condoner it is on auto cool ive tried reseting it but dont work

You have one of two problems. Either you are shorted so the AC continuously gets power Or the compressor contactor has welded shut and will have to be replaced. If this is a split system with a separate air handler and condenser then it is a simple check. Turn off the breaker for the air handler and if the outdoor unit is still running then more then likely the contactor is bad.

Windows 8 wont recognize datel game controller

Try this Access Startup Settings When the Choose an option screen appears, click or tap the Troubleshoot tile.
Next, click or tap the Advanced options tile.
Select the Startup Settings tile on the Advanced options screen.
Click the Restart button on the Startup Settings screen to reboot your computer again.
Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On the Startup Settings screen, tap the F7 or 7 key on your keyboard to select the "Disable driver signature enforcement" option.
Windows 8 will immediately boot to its typical lock screen. Sign into Windows 8 as you normally would - everything will look the same, except Windows will no longer demand driver signatures until you next reboot.
You can now install unsigned drivers as you would on previous versions of Windows. Windows will alert you if you try to install a driver that isn't properly signed, but you'll see an "install this driver software anyway" option you can choose.
Reboot When you're done installing the unsigned drivers, reboot your computer. Windows will keep using any unsigned drivers you've already loaded, even as it enforces signature requirements for new drivers.

make sure you work area is clean and you have a good ground. ive welded with those machines and they are real touchy. just keep adjusting your amperage till its just right. once you get it tuned in they weld beautifully.

I have an error code on my american standard model # ACONT900AC43UA communicating, programmable comfort control. Says to find the Error codes from American Standard Pub 18-HD32D2-8 but I don't have...

I am experiencing the same error code on my American Standard AC and according to Public. #18-HD32D2-8, error code 126 is in the Equipment Change Alert Group and the description says "Equipment does not match value stored at startup." Then, in a footnote, it says "A device has changed since Auto Discovery (See Installer Guide *S& 0706 to reset)."

This is all Greek to me so I'm calling my AC guy. I can tell you this, however. I bought an American Standard AC brand new just two years ago and one year ago exactly, it blew up. American Standard replaced it. Now, one year later, more problems.

I question the quality of American Standard and would not be inclined to buy this brand again.

Kfr 24w condensor will not run

Check the contactor to see if the contacts are stuck or welded together, if not check to see if you have 24 volts to the contactor, if you do then the thermostat is not opening.
