I have the same problem with my nikon coolpix s200. After 2 months the lens of my camera won't go inside. On the lcd screen stood lens error. I went to a shop with this problem. He took the battery out of my camera and press the off and on button for a while. Then he put the battery back in the camera and press the on button. The lens of the camera was now going inside en outside and inside and outside with a strange noise. And also on the screen stood lens error. Okey, the lens is inside the camera. But how can I fix this camera? What is the problem? What have you done? Please let know..!!

Honestly, I don't know of anything else, short of removing the camera's top and cleaning the contacts beneath the button. I would NOT recommend that route unless you really know what you're doing. I don't, so I wouldn't. Sorry I couldn't solve the issue for you. Please rate my answer as best you can, though. Regards, Char1ieJ
