you need a replacement screen. It's a bit fiddly to do but not expensive about 10 on ebay. I can right you a walk through or there's a few videos on youtube but I wouldn't recommend it for a novice, get someone experienced.

Most probably the multi color screen means te screen is broken. Both screens (top and bottom ) can be replaced, it takes a special tri-wing screw driver to open the DS, price of the screen to replace +/- € 20.
