Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer
During a wash cycle there is a very distict and LOUD tapping sound that occurs. Just started.
Perhaps something is trapped in the drian hose?
I have the same problem. It happens because there is debris in the drain pump (change, bobby pins, barrets, etc.). With the power off, if you flip the washer up on its left side (looking forward at the washer) and rest it on a wall or something, you can see the pump at the back right side of the bottom. With the water drained, you can disconnect the hose where water flows into the pump from the wash bin and put your finger inside the pump and remove most items that are in there. Be prepared, though, because if there is anything "long" in there, like a bobby pin, it will not be easy at all to get out. If you can get everything out of there, the "tapping" will stop. Be forewarned, however, getting the clamp for the inlet hose on will not be an easy task. Make sure you have pliers and a strong pair of hands. Good luck, and stop trying to wash your barrets and bobby pins! This is a CLOTHES washer! HA HA
