At the bottom of the screen next 2 the time u shud see an arrow pointing 2 the left. click that and more options shud pop up. in those options there shud b a diagram of a speaker. right click on that and selcet adjust audio properties. a new window will appear and select audio from the tabs at the top. on the microphone option select the mic that u installed. click the volume tab. on the sliders make sure that the mic slider has been selcted with a tick and adjust the volume to suit. if it still isnt working the plug the mic in different sockets til it does.

How to ii get sound to work from comp to tv i used a vga cable connected it to tv and video card but cant get sound

Without knowing what computer you have and which TV for that matter and which inputs and outputs are on each of them, I can only give you very rudimentary instructions.

before you do anything make sure the sound on your computer is working with some kind of speaker connected directly to your computer.

For the next step your TV will need an input audio jack, either "auxilery Input" or "Microphone" should do. If neither of these are availible you may have to connect your computer to a stereo reciever in the same way.

Once you have located the connection points all you have to do is to connect a cable from the TV (or as mentioned a Stereo) to the computer. If you do not have a seperate sound card in your computer (don't worry if you don't, these have become for the general public obsolete) then the computer will have an auxilery output jack somewhere on the back or maybe even on the front, it should be located next to the Microphone and Headphone jacks. If all else fails you can use the Headphone jack for this purpose also.

Having done that you should be able to run the sound to your TV or Stereo.

Hope I was able to help you

I dont know if my computer has a built in mic

the dimension does not have a built in microphone, however it does have a microphone input (the blue jack in the picture below, yours won't look exactly the same but it should be blue) so you can purchase a microphone and plug it into the microphone input and be up and going.

I want to increase ram, what do I get

First, you have to find out the max of ram that you can add to your pc. Then go to the website and run a test where it will tell you what memory and how much you can add. If you decide to purchase the memory and after you recieved , open the case and locate the empty slop where the memory is going to be install. It should be the small slots not the white big ones. Then carefully open the case from the memory and then put i on the slot of the pc. Turn the pc on and then see if it recognize it

Gigaware microphone 33-124 no sound with Windows XP SP3

Does it show a message like "unknown device" in winXp? then probably it needs an installer in order for a device to work properly, but if its working in the other computers running winxp then probably your own computer you are using have a problem with the usb ports on it. Hope this could help..

Won't work with microphone

Make sure that you have the latest audio drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website. That will usually fix the problem.

Solid amber light on front amber on mother board

take the PSU (Power Supply Unit) from a known working computer, preferable to be the same model and test with it. when you do so make sure you disconnect any peripherals e.g ( Printer, CD-ROM, Floppy).

Look closely at the memory bay for any bent pins, and test with one memory at the time.

Let me know if this is still an issue.
