Question about ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9600 PRO (128 MB) Graphic Card

Blue screen (not OD) random video game crash

Let me start off saying this doesn't happen with halo and guild wars
This DOES however happen when I play most games downloaded from the net, including maple story, gunz, knight online, and shaiya.

What happens is, is that the game will run fine for a few minutes, then the screen will flicker a bit, then my computer reboots itself.
The screen turns blue before rebooting, but no text appears. After I log back onto windows and look at the error web page it lists it as a driver error.
I have used many versions of the ATI drivers for my card, and used the CCC and just used the drivers. Nothing seems to fix this problem.

What can I do?
Thank you very much for any replies!

What I would do is do a clean run over to the videocard.

1. Reseat videocard in pc. (take out and put back in expansion slot)
2. Delete all drivers by doing this... device manager....properties....drivers....delete card from pc.
3. Redownload newest drivers.

If that doesnt work, try updating direct X from microsofts website. Just search Direct X update.
Hope this helps, if ya need more assistance on the issue just let me know.

Alienware x51 random restarts

Hello Wiryan =)
Sounds like either a power supply or graphics card issue to me. You could try downloading Almico's speedfan to check your temperatures just to be sure that they are fine.
You should contact Dell, they can probably troubleshoot the issue pretty fast/send a technician to you. The X51 randomly shutting down is a common issue if you check the forums over there. http://en.community.dell.com/owners-club/alienware/f/3746/t/19437557.aspx?PageIndex=1
I assume you have updated every driver to the latest?
Hope this helps! :)

PNY GeForce GT440 crashes every time I play a video game.

Hello try to renew the graphic driver from here:

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

By selecting the model, and your windows system.

You can also use the auto find function.

By installing a small bit of software.

Maybe your power supply is too small for gaming performance
consider to upgrade that, if the driver update does not work.
I suggest a 500 watt PSU, so the graphic does not runs out of power.

Good luck

Video Card Problem

hi. The amd semprom has similar to an intel celeron. These cpu's are not gaming cpu's. The graphics card you are using is now quite old- very few agp graphics cards are made now. I would say that the cpu and gpu may be the problem but it depends what game you are playing. New video cards use pci express slot and new cpu's are dual core and quad core. If you are serious abot games then you could do with a new motherboard- maybe one supporting an intel core 2 duo cpu, to that add at least a Nvidia 9600gt 512mb gddr3 video card and have 3-3 gb's of ram.

Roll back the drivers to the original that worked and leave it there. Some times an update acts more like a downdate and screws things up. If your getting blue screens, its a hardware failure and is most likely do to the drivers just not being compatible with your system config.

You could also try updating the BIOS on the mainboard and see if that improves it.

I had alot of issues with ATI's catalyst on my last computer. the program kept causing problems so i removed catalyst and installed just the drivers and it worked great after that.
