Do you see an error message on the screen or, does it blue screen with an error message? When you boot up press F6 just as the PC drops out of BIOS mode. Select "Last Known Good Configuration". If that doesn't fix it, look up the error code on the blue screen with Google. Most blue screens are fixable. Some require a complete rebuild of your hard drive.

Error message oxoooooo7b

The blue screen is what we call the blue screen of death in the technical world, it almost always is related to hardware failure. You can try getting a dust clean up performed and the thermal paste replaced. Which places like Laptop X Change usually do this for next to nothing. Dust traps in heat, and can also cut off data transmission so that's highly possible.

I hope this helps :)

My laptop was infected with spyware and after several reboots it crashed with error message Unmountable boot volume, is it due to spyware or hard drive failure. Can it be fixed.

yes it can be fixed usually this is done by reformatting that means you need the original disks that were used in your PC . but there are other ways to correct this problem which often called ( the blue screen of death)if you had important documentation that you need to retrieve or dont have original disks take it to your local PC repair shop they will save you info and reformat your PC in Australia this cost around $80.00 and took a few days

Was cleaning dell laptop screen and it went dark, is there a switch To lighten it back up?

Look on the function keys for a delicate blue description ... press the fN key and the brightness increase key.

I doubt you accidently unplugged the screen ... but dont discount that totally.

Good luck to you

When I turn on my dell c600 laptop, it stays on for about 1 minute then a blue screen appears with a bios error message. How do i fix this?

From the minimal description you provided, it sounds like 1 of two things. Either OS problem/virus/spyware or bad hardware. Try to write down the message generated when the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) appears and google it.

To scan for bad hardware (sounds like it might be a bad hard drive), use the tool Hiren's Boot Disk 9.4. Replace the bad part and then update the system/reinstall windows (if it's the hard drive)
Good luck
