Question about Canon Pixma MP450 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The copier and print piece work fine. But when I try to scan ; I get the USB is not plugged in and it is. I took it out and replugged it and turned the printer on and off. Nothing. How do I get it to work? the printer and copy work but the scanner doesn't work
I had the same problem on my Mac. I downloaded two things off Canon's website and all is now working:-
1) Scanner driver (ScanGear for Mac OR MP Drivers for PC) 2) MP Navigator software
Visit: http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010249.asp and choose your drivers.
Restart your machine (with the MP40 switched off) after downloading Switch on, and press Scan... et voila!
NOTE: after putting my Mac in slep mode, the scan button didn't function, but all I had to do was switch the MP450 off then on again for my Mac to recognise it.
Hope this helps!
