oh that's what you mean, reformat! yes that wasn't it but good to know that things start slowing down sa you get to the end of the card's capacity.

I am an old film shooter, Tri-X processed in Accufine and now I am starting to shoot digital. And I am buying a D3. The D100 just isn't up to snuff!

    Thanks for your help.

Dear fregal,
Take your camera to a nikon service point and get the LCD replaced. There is no other option. The LCD is definitely faulty.

Hi, i took a series of shots nothing on card

Maye they were accidentally saved to the internal memory and not the card?

approved cards follow:

---
The following is a brochure for your camera from the digital archives:
http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/lineup/digitalcamera/slr/d100/index.htm
originally the camera had the following storage specifications: CompactFlash™ (CF) Card (Type I/II) and 512MB/1GB Microdrive™

---
If there is an internal memory, then sometimes the memory holds the pictures you took, and not the external memory card.

Nikon D100 lens interface problem

This normally means that you have forgotten to set the lens aperture control to it's minimum aperture (the highest number). On the D100 the aperture control is via a wheel on the camera body instead of via the physical control on the lens aperture ring.

R06

r06 is the buffer count for the camera. read here: D100

you must have another problem if it will not fire. Have you tried a different lens or memory card?

Stuck shutter D100 Nikon

The R06 is the buffer indication, not part of the error. It would appear more work is required. Other components may have failed, or the shutter itself may be bad.

I'm afraid this one is not a DIY. Nikon is pricey on repairs, you may fair better checking the repair service search here on Fixya.
