The led was steadly blinking green. They repaced four capacitors and said that it did not resolve the issue and that the dm board needed to be replaced. They said that Manuf. did not have and they had a place accross the U.S that refurbished/repaired them. With that kit does it have more than the capacitors?

Ok. So I finally got the DM board repair kit. There was a few problems on receiving it but I did get them and put them in play.

The Tv is doing the same thing as it did before hand with the old capacitors. The light is blinking repeatedly. Tried the reset button again and still the same. Any other suggestions?

Was the symptom a steady blinking green led/ If so you most likely need just the DM repair kit thats 35.00 and comes with the instructions on CD and the replacement capacitors that repairs the DM module. I can post a link for the repair kit if you would like?

No the kit only contains the capacitors as most issues with the DM causing the steady blinking LED is related to those capacitors. You mentioned that they replaced the four capacitor. Did they replace the two SMD fuses that are adjacent to the capacitors which are F9B00 and F9B02 ? They are 4amp 125Volt . Ask if they have checked them.

Heres the link to the DM repair Kit its the V21 DM repair kit. You have a V19 chassis which is the same as the V23. Also I did some researching. they should have replaced 7 capacitors on the DM Power Board to effect the repair. as the WS55859 has the 7 capacitors that need replacement when the led blinks steady the V23 has the DM with four which that doesnt apply to your model number. But go to this site they know mitsubishis inside and out. they will let you know if you leave them a email with your model number and whats happening, and they alos rebuild PC boards as well.

Here's a guy who fixed it himself, with no prior soldering experience, and completely documented the process.
check it out here:

The only thing I would add is upgrade the Capacitors to:
1000 micro Farads @25Volt, 105 deg.Celcius
This is recommended by several online help experts.

The green timer light is blinking with no interruption on my WS-55859. TV will not power on after the reset button is reset or is disconnected from power.

Thats almost always caused by failed DM capacitors on the DM power board. There are 7 that will need replacement. There is a repair kit called the WS55859 DM repair kit which has the caps and the CD with repair instructions available from www.tvrepairworld.com

Green light flashing on timer. tv wont power up..just bought this house. wtv was left behind. i was told it works but i cant turn it on

Thats a common problem if the sets left unplugged or without power the DM caps drain and then wont charge when the power is restored. Its a easy fix usually just replace the DM caps. You can get the Mitsunbishi repair kit called the WS55859 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the upgraded replacement caps and the CD with repair instructions.

Mitsubishi model ws-55859 tv is red and red

If it is WS-55859 and you go into the customer menu and find red or blue are skewed and will not adjust---you have a convergence problem.

This model uses a single STK-393-110 convergence chip--it and any of the protect resistors around it that are bad will need to be replaced and the set adjusted.

The chip can be purchased on Ebay for about 12 dollars plus shipping--total parts cost should be under 30 dollars!

I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THIS MODEL.

They tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair---If you or someone you know can do it I can post or get the instructions to you.

If you cannot do it shop around your area--most shops are going to get 300 or MORE for this kind of repair and many will not do in in your home--Any good tech can do it in your home in about 1 hour--I know as I have done hundreds of them.

If you have questions or need help let me know--I am here to help people.

If this information has helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.

The WS 55859 Is blinking Timer and will not start up.

You have a problem with blown capacitors in your DM module. Repair shops will cost $300-$600 to make the repair (at least that is the going rate in Dallas) or you can do it yourself for <$15 in parts plus whatever tools you don't have already. I repaired mine about 2 months ago and I am not handy at all. Here is a video that is step by step that can take you through it.

Timer light flashes tv won`t turn on. mitsubishi model #55859

You have a bad DM board - the capacitors are bad and need to be replaced. I was able to replace them myself. There are no replacement parts available and many repairmen will charge hundreds of dollars and there is no guarantee they will fix it.

Mitsubishi ws 55807 have the blinking lights problem and not powering on

Yes on some sets are a bit differant depending on the model number there is still a DM board. The disassembly is a bit different and the service manual will describe how to take apart the TV set to get to the DM board. The repair is the same for the DM board. I am sorry but I do not have the the service manual but one can be downloaded here: http://www.servicemanuals.net/results.aspx?type=SM&brand=0&model=WS55807 Good Luck
