Plug your IPod into your computer. Once Itues loads up select your ipode and press the restore button. That will reset your IPod back to factory settings.

My sceen won work with out a external mouse after i factory reset

When you reset it to the factory settings, that made everything like it was when it was taken out of the box. At that time you had an external mouse, so now after resetting, it's looking for the external. If you were not using the external before resetting, you will need to change the setting back like it was before resetting.

I need the reset code to preform a factory reset

soft resetting :

-Back to factory settings: This should maintain your data (contacts/messages/calendar/notes etc), just returning your N97 back to all previous settings

From menu:
Settings> Phone>Phone Management>Factory Settings

hard resetting:

The traditional method won't work as the N97 doesn't have the old keypad. After you've backed up your data onto memory card/pc/ovi, turn your phone off and simultaneously press these four buttons circled in red.
  • Caps shift
  • Space bar
  • Delete button
  • On button
You'll know it's worked when you see the initial set up screen, asking country of origin.

You will lost all settings etc. though. - check usb ports are working properly with no conflicts or driver issues (control panel\system\hardware\device manager) - uninstall usb ports on pc, let pc redetect them
