I just got a JVC BR-DV3000U DV deck to use with my Final Cut Pro system. One of the first things I had to use it for was copying some timelines with Time Code to DV tapes (the JVC deck allows TC to be set via the incoming signal on the Firewire). It worked fine - BUT the TC is off (behind) on the dubbed tapes by 31 frames????? I tried dubbing direct from a camera via a 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable and it worked fine (identical TCs). Anyone else experienced this?

Not likely a deck problem; the time code is digitally encoded with the video rather than being recorded on a separate track. In the days of VHS and SVHS, time code problems sometimes arose when the pinch roller became worn or the tape stretched.
