As long as your media player recognizes it when you try to sync to it and check in "My Computer" and see if it shows up as a separate drive...i.e. MIX MAX (E:)....I have XP and it did not recognize the device, but I was still able to load videos and songs. The only way to load songs is through WMP. Videos can be dragged and dropped by clicking on the MIX MAX drive (E:) and opening up the folder.

The Mix Stick will show up as a removable disk in your 'My Computer' icon or in 'Computer' if you have Vista. You can then open that Removable Disk and drag and drop songs to it or you can use the 'Sync' function in Windows Media Player.
A manual can be found here...

How do I add songs to my Mix Stick 2.0?
Hook the Mix Stick 2.0 up to an available USB port on your computer using the provided USB cable. Once the computer finishes loading the drivers for the Mix Stick 2.0, you can open the My Computer icon (or Computer in the Start Menu if you have Vista) and see the Disney Mix Stick 2.0 icon or the Removable Disk icon. You can then drag and drop your songs into the Mix Stick 2.0 or use the Sync feature in Windows Media Player to sync your existing tracks from Windows Media Player to the Mix Stick 2.0. Be sure to properly disconnect the Mix Stick 2.0 from your computer. For further assistance with this issue, please watch our video tutorial located here for a step-by-step walkthrough of this process.
