My WD-52525 started a rubbing noise coming from the back area. I figure it's the light engine. Color was off and it won't restart, has a lamp light now. Lamp is 4 months old. Sound like light engine?

This sounds like your color wheel. this will affect the colors on your screen. Do check your lamp though, at 4 months you still should have a good lamp. Unless you have a bad ballast affecting the lamp as well. If you hear a rapid clicking or an electrical buzzing type noise. "ballast"

Mitsubishi 52525 TV Red Lamp LED

340v should be on power pwb plug PL on the 1 and
5 (GND) pins for the ballast. and the ballast plug CN should also have the 340V with pin 1 of that plug being GND nd pin 3 should have the 340V If the PL plug on the power board is low the power pwb has a problem most likely the doubler circuit. If CN plug voltage is high say 360V the ballast is suspect.

I replaced a mitsubishi WD-52525 lamp because the light was constant red. It still doesn't work, now what do I do? I think it is a bad ballest where is it and how do I troubleshoot?

The ballast is on the right side looking from the back. If the ballast is working you should hear a slight sizzling sound when it is turned on as well as the color wheel start. The color wheel has to start before anything will start. Also, make sure all covers are installed. This set has safety switches every where.
