I have SYMPHONY Radio with a serial VWZAZ5D1502680, can you please help me with a code my email address is mzibula@gmail.com

Posted on Dec 28, 2011

Hi

After it shows SAFE, you should see the number "1000". Those are the 4 digits of your code. Then, using the first four radio preset buttons, you have to change each number untill it shows 0133. Finally, you have to press seek>> button to accept it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do get radio code

You really have nothing to lose by trying, but the dealer may be right in stating the serial number may not be the unlock code.

Safe mode car radio

To unlock your VW factory radio from "SAFE" mode, you will need to enter the radio code. Typically, the code is written on a radio card included with the documentation for the vehicle when the car is first sold.

If you don't have the code, or have lost it, you can retrieve it by visiting your VW dealer. You will need the car's VIN number and the serial number of the radio (located on the body of the radio).

The procedure to enter the code is as follows:

Press the "MODE" and "SCAN" buttons simultaneously and hold them until "1000" appears on the radio display. Release the buttons as soon as this number appears.

Refer to your Radio Card and use the station preset buttons ("1", "2", "3" and "4") to input the code. Press the "1" button repeatedly to input the first digit, the "2" button to input the second digit, etc.

Press and hold the "MODE" and "SCAN" buttons simultaneously until "SAFE" appears again. Release, and the radio should be unlocked.

Do not enter the wrong code more than three times, or the radio will lock itself. Note the dealer can also enter the code for you (they may charge a small fee).

97 vw jetta theft lock radio code

You will likely need to take your vehicle's VIN# to the VW Dealer to have the code provided. In some VW's the code can be found inside the trunk (spare tire well) or written in the Owner's Manual by a previous owner. The VW Dealer can only provide the original code, unless they have a record of previously changing the radio.

Way too many codes to run through each code manually.

I bougth this vw and need radio codes

Unfortunately the majority of VW codes   will  NOT  be available for free (or cheap)  from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main VW Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM

My 1997 vw golf radio is in safe mode since i changed the battery. No dealer will help me where do i find the # Im a teenager with out a radio Thats NOT good!!

If its a vw factory radio, all u need is the serial no.found on the radio casing,eg.VWZ4Z3G...... and any vw dealership should supply you with the code.If the radio remains on safe mode, leave the ignition and radio on for 1 hr until you see the no 1000.Enter the code.

98 VW Beetle used-no radio code- I have radio & car serial #'s...

I assume you have this unlocked by now, but here's an answer for someone else for the future :-)
if you have the original radio that come with the car, look in the wheel well in the trunk, where the spare tire goes. (yep, you'll need to stand on your head). there is a sticker that will have the 4-digit code on it.
enter that into the radio.
I can't remember off the top of my head which one it is, but either the >> Scan or the am/fm button will be the "enter key"
