Outlook emails showing in sent mail twice

We use Gmail synced with Outlook at the office. Whenever I send an email from Outlook it shows twice in my sent box and delivers twice to my Blackberry. I can't figure out how to get it to show/deliver just once.

Tip

Microsoft Outlook's Outbox

Have you ever sent an email using Outlook, and your email goes into the "Outbox" instead of being sent? This tip may help you to determine what's going on.

The Windows Task Bar

On the Windows task bar located at the bottom of your screen, is the "Icon Tray" that is helpful in determining what's going on with what is currently running. When everything is working as it should, the icons will look similar to the ones shown here. The icons you see vary depending on what services and applications are currently running. It also depends on which icons you have chosen to be visible, hidden, or visible at certain times. Those options are located in the Task Bar Preferences.

1. The Outlook icon shows that Outlook is running normally.
2. The envelope shows there is a new email message waiting. There is no need to open Outlook to check for new messages.

The Outlook Status Bar

When Outlook is running (not minimized), it has its own Status bar in the lower right corner of the Outlook window. This image shows that Outlook is connected and performing a "Send/Receive" to check for new messages and to send messages from the Outbox. The Windows Taskbar also shows that Outlook is performing a Send/Receive (indicated by the change in the Outlook icon).

When you send an email, the email always goes to your Outbox where it waits to be delivered. When does it get delivered? Well, that depends on the following two factors: 1) there is an internet connection. 2) Outlook's setting for the Send/Receive interval. You can set Outlook to perform a S/R immediately when you click Send, but technically you're setting Outlook to perform a S/R immediately when a message is put in the Outbox. Normally this happens so quickly that you don't notice the Outbox turning bold. But rest assured, your outgoing message always goes to your Outbox to await its time even if it's immediately.

You can have Outlook perform a S/R based on a time interval of your choosing. This is useful when you have limited connection at certain times of the day, or you if you want all your emails to be delivered in a batch at one time rather than "as you go". Having Outlook perform a S/R every 15 min, for example, means that during the times between, your bandwidth is free for other types of traffic like video chat where the more bandwidth available, the better.

Problem Indicators

When problems arise, glance down at the two bars. Using the image here, see if you can determine what's wrong before reading the explanation.

It's actually quite easy. If you look at the icons in the proper sequence, the first one to check is the internet connection. For me, it's the second icon from the right next to my volume control. Shown here, it indicates I've lost my internet connection. I wouldn't need to even open Outlook to know what the problem is. With no internet connection, Outlook can't connect.

If I did open Outlook, I'd most likely see what is shown here. Outlook shows it is Disconnected and that there is a Send/Receive error. You might wonder in bewilderment, as I do, why does Outlook attempt to perform a S/R if it knows it's disconnected? I guess that's for the geniuses at Microsoft to figure out.

Instragram logged me out. instgram says it sent an email to rest the password but the email is not showing up at all not even in the spam folder

If you are sure that you had the reset email sent to the correct email account but you have not received the reset email, your account may have been taken over by someone else. This is a fairly common occurrence with weak passwords, wireless devices, and using networks other than your own or your office's. You should contact Instagram to report the problem and notify them that your account may have been hijacked.

Microsoft Web Access won't send mail

If you are trying to send or receive an email in Microsoft Outlook and the password doesn't work, you can check a number of different things. Microsoft Outlook validates your email account with your email provider using various settings. Once it has validated your settings, it will send or receive email. It is not only useful to set up your email correctly but essential if you wish to use Microsoft Outlook.

Gather all of the email settings for your email account. These will be located on your email provider's website in an FAQ or support section. If in doubt contact your email provider to provide all of the settings. Look for any of the following terms: POP, SMTP, IMAP, SSL, SPA, server, and port number. Make a note of all of these. Determine when the problem exists. Check if the problem occurs when sending an email, receiving an email, or both. If the password error only happens with either sending or receiving, this narrows down the source of the problem. Click "Start," type "Outlook" and press "Enter" to open Microsoft Outlook. Click "File > Info > Account Settings." Select your email account and click "Change." Click the "Incoming mail server" field, if your error was when receiving email but not sending. Enter the full "incoming mail server" address as provided by your email provider. If your email is "IMAP" then change the "Account Type" to display "IMAP." Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure that the incoming server "Port" number is the same as your email provider stipulates. If your provider requires SSL, then click "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)." Click "OK." Click the "Outgoing mail server" field, if your error was when sending email. Enter the full outgoing server address. Click "More Settings > Advanced." Make sure the "Outgoing server" port is correctly set. If your email provider requires encryption, then select the correct type from the drop-down menu. Click "OK." Click the "password" field and make sure you have entered the correct password. If your mail provider requires "SPA," then click the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" to enable it. Click "Next" and then "Finish." Your password should now work. Hope it helps.

I cant send an email from outlook it keep saying 530 authentication required

This error indicates that sending mail via your mail server requires a username and password (this is not the default setting).

Check with your mail providor for the proper settings for sending e-mail.

This is a common issue and will very likely be documented on their suport web page. You did not mention which version of Outlook. If you have Outlook 2003 or even 2007, see th following tuturial and pay attention to slide 16 &17 as this is how to enable outgoing authentication.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

To send mail from Zoom browser you need a mail client for example Outlook, outlook express or Lotus notes installed and configured in your system and set that mail client to default mail application in your system.

Thanks

Email

My assumption is you installed Outlook before you installed Snag..
You then installed Snag and either you or "it" set Outlook as you mail program. When you deleted Outlook Snag did what it was suppose to do....greyed it out since the mail program does not exist and longer. You can't send mail unless you have a mail program.
