The dish network 2nd remote isn't working I put in a new code because we bought a new tv for that room. Now, i can use the dish remote to do everything without the tv remote but NOTHING works on dish anymore. i cant change channels,guide,menu....NOTHING!!

Congrats on the new TV! I can definitely assist you with this and get it taken care of. As I don't know what TV you have I don't have any codes off hand available.

You can check out this link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup to get the codes to program your remote. I have also listed the steps below to program that remote to your new TV.

Addressing Remote to TV:

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Hello, the problem that you are having is fairly simple to solve. The tv is causing interference with the remote. It sounds like you're at TV1, and TV1 remote is an IR remote. You need to get a UHF remote, and that will stop the interference so that you can continue to enjoy your tv! You can e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your TV; here are some of the codes we currently have: 720, 744, 748, 722, 694, and 721. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your TV. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for your Orion until you findone that is compatible with it.

You have a dual receiver and 2 remotes. make sure that receiver is in dual mode. That you press the sat key on remote 2 if it will still not operate take remote 2 to the receiver. With remote #1 press the menu button twice you should then be on they system info screen. Pick up remote #2 press and hold sat key until it blinks press record 3 times . press red power button and if tv2 light goes off and on the remote should work again for tv2 . Use remote #1 press select exit screen,

Are you still having problems with programming the remote to your receiver? I am assuming it is TV 1? You should have a green tab at the bottom of the remote with a "green 1" and no lettering after the 1. If you have the correct tab on the bottom, you should be on the "System Information" screen, showing on your TV, from the receiver. At the bottom of the screen you will have "primary and secondary remote addresses" with numbers in the white boxes. You can press the "record" button on the remote to address the remote to the receiver. I hope this helps.

Remote codes are programmed into the remote at time of and since the TV was manufactured after the remote it will be unable to have the code as TV manufacturers change codes often. You can try having a 20 or 21 remote sent to you but ensure it will work with your receiver. These remotes are programmable and ar able to learn functions of other remotes. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

You need to call DishNetwork and program the remote. The remote does not know your TV code. Easy fix.

i have dish network different brand tv but have codes for hitachi they are 1004,1006,1012,1013,1059,1060,1063,1135,1136,1145,1148,1179,1185. hope one of these helps
