While it is suspicious happening so soon after lamp replacement, your main power supply may have failed.
In earlier sets, these were problems that eventually happened.
power in the tv has nothing related with the DVD. The tv has to have raster (white screen) even without signal (cable, DVD, others) if the tv alone is just having the led flashing and neither sound nor video (black screen) The tv has a short circuit in some of the boards that are part of the tv system. the blinking is part of a protection when the tv was created in the factory. Refer to the technician to repair this problem.
Its the bulb you are looking at about $700 for one. You should get a quote first though. Also it may be the power box but if the light goes on for like s second and then turns off then it must be the bulb.

This is a frustrating problem and is not uncomon. The problem is you will most likely have to have someone come out to complete internal repairs.
However, before you call someone out, try unplugging the television for an hour and plugging it back in. The tv is run by a mini computer. the computer sometimes goes into "safe mode" when the power fluctuates. This can be reset by unplugging from the wall for an hour. You will know your tv has reset when the tv has to reprogram the channels when you plug it back in.
