Did u try for a reset??

for any kind of error do a reset first

  • 2 more comments
  • Anonymous Jun 24, 2008

    STEP 1:
    - Disconnect printer from AC power

    STEP 2:
    - Press and HOLD the POWER button, and
    connect printer to AC power

This simple power off procedure worked on my IP1500!

    Cleaning
the absorber was also easy. Power up with the cover open until the head
moves to the left side then disconnect the power cord so the head is
now positioned away from the pads.
The two pads can be lifted up
easily with a pair of sharp tweezers then rinsed in running water. They
will become white again and can be blotted with paper napkins then air
dried in a warm location (I used an industrial oven set to 40°C). The
wells in the rubber holder can be cleaned with cotton swabs before
returning the two pads (left side first, then press down the right
    side).

A waste ink absorber is a pad that soaks up waste ink.

An absorber can only hold a certain amount of ink, too much ink leads to spillage.

Canon does not publish a reset as then end users would be mad when the waste ink overflowed and stained their furniture.

Taking the sides off you can unsnap plastic clips to remove the top
half of the printer cover. Following the silicone tubes... they run
into a white plastic pump that sucks the ink that falls onto the pickup
screens and dumps it onto numerous felt absorber strips under the pump
    mechanism.
To clean or change the absorber felts you must first
remove the Pump mechanism which is held on by 2 screws so that you have
access to the felt absorber pieces.
    If cleaning the pads... run
clean water over each piece of felt until the water runs clear. Then
place them on an absorbant surface (paper towels.. newspaper etc.) and
    let them fully dry.
Then reassemble the whole thing in the reverse order.

You have a few choices before you start....

    1) do the above proceedure and spend some time.
    2) take the printer to cannon and spend some money.
    3) buy a new printer and spend some money.

How to print database in vb

To Print a Database you would require to create a Report. There were many ways of creating reports in Visual Basic 6.0. Hereby I am giving you an example of Data Report.
Printing a Data Report
Printing a data report can be accomplished in one of two ways. The user can click the Print button that appears on the data report in Print Preview mode (using the Show method), or you can programmatically enable printing using the PrintReport method. If an error occurs during printing, trap it in the Error event.
Choosing to Display a Print Dialog Box
When printing a report programmatically, you have two choices: to print by displaying the Print dialog box, or by printing without displaying the dialog box.
To display the Print dialog box
  1. Add a CommandButton to a Form.
  2. In the button's Click event, place the following code.
DataReport1.PrintReport True The Print dialog box allows the user to select a printer, print to file, select a range of pages to print, and specify the number of copies to print.
Note Printers must be installed on the computer in order to present a choice of printers.

Printing Without a Dialog Box
In some cases, you may wish to print the report without user intervention. The PrintReport method also gives you the option of selecting a range of pages to print, either all, or a specified range.
To print without displaying the dialog box
  1. Add a CommandButton to a Form.
  2. In the button's Click event, place the following code:
DataReport1.PrintReport False
Or, to specify a range of pages to print, use the code below:
DataReport1.PrintReport False, rptRangeFromTo, 1, 2

When I go to print everything looks good. The paper feeds through the printer but nothing prints on it.

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

This problem might be due to blockages in the print head nozzles or if a FINE Cartridge is empty.

Kindly try the print head cleaning function to remove any blockages in the print head nozzles.

The procedure for cleaning the print heads, in the printer driver setup window (The printer driver setup window can be displayed through the application software in use or the Start menu of the Windows), is as follows:

Cleaning:

1. Make sure that the printer is on and click Cleaning on the Maintenance tab.

Print head cleaning starts.

2. Click OK when the confirmation message appears.

3. Next, the Nozzle Check dialog box opens.

To check whether the print quality has improved, click Print Check Pattern. To cancel the check process, click Cancel.

If cleaning the head once does not resolve the problem, clean it once more.

Deep Cleaning:

Deep Cleaning is more thorough than Cleaning. Perform deep cleaning when two cleaning attempts do not resolve the print head problem.

1. On the Maintenance tab, click Deep Cleaning.

The Deep Cleaning dialog box opens. Follow the instruction shown in the dialog box.
Click Initial Check Items to display the items you need to check before performing Deep Cleaning.

2. Make sure that the printer is on and then click Execute.

Click OK when the confirmation message appears.
Print head deep cleaning starts.

If there is still no sign of improvement, the ink may have run out and the cartridges need to be replaced.

For more details, please download and install the complete on-screen manual from this link.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Printer Error message : Printer Error has occurred. 6000

Error 6000 gets displayed when there is a paper jam or other general malfunction. When the message "6000 Printer error has occurred. Turn off the printer then back on again. If the problem persists, see the manual." Is displayed, something may block the paper feed tray from opening.
If the printer is surrounded with documents or when you copy large documents such as books, make sure that you secure the clear space in front of the tray before printing / copying. When the error message above is displayed and if you find something is in front of the tray, remove it. Then, turn OFF the printer and back ON again and the printer will be ready for printing.
If you still have the trouble, contact the repair service.

Check the printer for any paper jam or try to reset the printer to release memory code errors.

1. Press and hold the Resume button for 1 - 2 minutes.
2. Open the cover.
3. Remove the cartridge and then reinstall it.
4. Close the cover.
5. Turn Off the printer.
6. Turn On the printer.

When I print a document, the printer prints multiple copies of each page even when the print window says "Copies: 1". Please help. Also, I have the "mirror image" problem too, but I have to click it off...

1. Have you rebooted the Printer and PC?
2. Have you loaded the correct drivers and software?
(Seen many instances of the wrong CD shipping with HP printers.)
3. When you say, "the print window says "Copies 1". Is this:
a. the Printer digital window?
or
b. the Print window dialog box on the monitor?

IF a. "the printer digital window" ignore it and check the print window dialog box on the monitor. Many applications remember what you input last and will repeat the last entry. Say you printed your Resume 10 times. Now your printing the grocery list and it prints 10 times.

If b. "the Print window dialog box on the monitor" Make sure the copies are indeed 1 only. Then check to make sure none of the numeric buttons on the printer has been pushed.

Is this a Network printer?
Make sure you have cleared the printer cache!
Shut down the computer then the printer.
UNPLUG both for at least 10 sec.
Restart PC and allow it to boot up completely BEFORE turning on the printer.

Mirror image sounds like a default setting has been changed.
Go into you HP software and go to configuration.
There should be a button there that says: "Use Default settings"

If this does not return things to normal. It is could be driver issue.
Meaning if you have the wrong one installed. The printer/scanner could do most anything as it is receiving the wrong code instructions for that model.

Good luck!

Cant print black or do black and white copies

He's not saying that the black cartridge won't print (which would warrant cleaning the heads, or messing with the cartridges) -- I have the same problem that MarkDan is having as well... no matter what you select as the output from any "Print" dialog window, the HP 21xx and 12xx series printers _always_ print in full color. You can choose Black and White, Greyscale, Color -- doesn't matter what you choose in the dialog boxes, it utterly ignores you, and will always print in color.
I have no idea why it does this, but it's eating a _ton_ of color ink for no good reason. I have searched all over the Web and on HP's site, but solution has been found.
