Unable to use scanner

My problem is that for some reason I cannot use the scanner. For a long time, I had absolutely no problem using the scanner. Then from one day to the next I could not use it anymore. Everytime I insert a document for scanning, I press the button "Scan" and the screen tells me that the pc is not connected. I cannot understand. I have tried everything in order to resolve the problem. I cannot see that anything has changed recently, and yet this problem persists. I have Windows XP Home Edition. Can anyone please help? Thank you.

I have the same problem. All of a sudden it doesn't work when it was doing fine before. I suspect it may be a driver problem but have been unable to fix it.

Am unable to use the feeder tray - it keeps saying paper jam. There is no jam -- something seems to be blocking the mobility of the paper. I have it on "office" use and the regular scan works one...

This piece of equipment is very specific, it performs a task that is very detailed and must be accurate. It is for this reason that they are serviced, to prevent damage and malfunction. I strongly recommend taking your scanner to an Epson service specialist. He/She will be able to diagnose the fault and replace the component that is faulty or malfunctioning.

Hope this guidance helps!

Unable to communicate with HP scanning software

This happened to me a couple times with the HP Series all in one and stand alone scanners. Goto Walmart and buy a USB hub that has a dedicated power supply. For some reason HP is notorious for this problem.

Brother 130c print unable 50

Solution #1 is absolutely spot-on from adnanbhatti, copy the link into your browser to be able to see the photos of the printer and how to slide the print head:
http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/000500/000065/faq000565_013.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=dcp130c_all&Cat=11

When I slid the print head over as specified, I found a little crumpled paper fragment soaked with ink. Pulled it out.... I turned on the printer, it ran a cleaning cycle automatically, and started printing just fine!

Unable to install SCAN functions for HP PSC 1610

If you are having issues using your PSC 1610 on the Vista operating system there is actually an easy workaround using "paint" (I'm using "SnagIT").

Check it out:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00809848&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=390315&lang=en

For whatever reason you can't use the actual button on the printer/scanner but when you open paint you can scan the doc from your computer.

Hope this helps!
