Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Updated trouble on 6/23/08 i click on the update from kodak for thier easyshare printer 5300. i lost my icon and the program. i cannot use my printer. i also cannot find my cd-rom to re-install the printer. could anyone assist me in this problem and can i get another cd-rom to reinstall.

    I also have a kodak easyshare 5300 and have lost the instillation disk, and have bought a new computer how can I use this printer on my new computer.

Won't print


Try uninstalling the software you installed from the disc and get the software from:

The driver on the CD may be incompatible with Win 7. Next try a new USB cable or a different port. Make sure that the ports aren't disabled for security or power savings. (Look in the Device Manager (Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound for the first. Right click on the desktop (anywhere without a runnng program or icon) choose Personalize then double click the Screen Saver icon. Choose Change Power Settings and then go into the Advanced settings from Change Plan Settings.)

If that doesn't work, you may want to try the firmware update from the above link. The firmware update can lock up a working printer, use with care.

I lost my cd for my kodak 5300 printer. How can i get a new one


if you need new drivers(most likely) go to kodak.com and support for drivers set. get the full monty version(it's quite large) and it will be most updated. re install and you should be good to go.

Kodak 5300 all in one printer will not scan. Cannot get on line with 5300 a10 home center program, tells me printer is not connected


try to unplug replug the usb cable of the printer.

You may also go to control panel printer and faxes and look for the printer of your 5300 now if you see 2 icons delete them both then exit to printer and faxes. and unplug/replug your USB cable then restart computer.

If this issue not solve try to uninstall the software and download the clearutility kodak.com/go/clear. then after doing this restart computer.

Replace the printhead. call kodak at 1.800.421.6699 for a free new one, with FREE ink, too.

Home Center will not open...Can't scan


I needed to reload my AiO Home Center software and no one seemed to have the correct procedure. Maybe if you remove & reinstall yours it will resolve your problem. This procedure worked for me on my XP-machine:
1. got to Control Panel/Printers&Faxes and delete the printer
2. go to your Hardware/Device Manager/Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right-click on USB Composite Device and select Uninstall
3. go to Control Panel/Add/Remove Software and remove the EasyShare software
4. disconnect the cables from the Printer
5. download from Kodak.com the program "install_aio.exe"; run the program
(I selected only AiO+EasyShare+Software Updater to load)
6. followed the prompts after the sw installed to reconnect the Printer cables
7. rebooted

WORKED for ME !

That's an error with the ink. Try updating the firmware on the printer. Here is the link to the latest firmware from the Kodak website.
