Question about Texas Instruments TI-92 Plus Calculator

# Matrixs I simply have no idea how to enter a matrix into my TI-92 Plus.

I am looking for a link cable for my son's TI92plus to use with our home computer so he can download to his calculator. Can you tell me where I can get one? thank you.kacee64@comcast.net

If you want to examine the matrix you want to inverse and, the one that is given you trouble pressing [2nd] [MATRX]. Then stroll and, select the one you want to look at by pressing, [ENTER]. You'll have to press, [ENTER] again and, matrix should display at the Home screen. At the Home when you get to them your looking for the ones that are not square, like 2 by2 or 4 by 4 etc. You might need to re-edit this matrix so, that it is square.

Your trying to invert a matrix that isn't square you might be using using the proper key sequence to create a inverse matrix. Here what the correct inverse matrix look on the Ti 84 Plus Home screen.

And pictured below is a Matrix is being inverted by using the ^ and the -1 keys. Which to inverse a Matrix on the Ti 84 Plus you have to use the [x^-1] key.

This is not the proper way to inverse a Matrix on the Ti 84 Plus. The proper way to inverse of a matrix, the [x-1] key must be used, instead of pressing the sequence [^][-][1]. The [x-1] key is the official inverse key and is located right under the Math key. It is also the same key that you use to get to the matrix menus. The [^][-][1] sequence is only raising the matrix to the -1 power and, will cause an error too. If you need any more help, just post a comment and, I'll respond quickly.

A singular matrix has no inverse. It's the equivalent of zero: trying to take the inverse of zero is an error. Check the matrix to make sure you have entered it correctly. If the error persists, could you post the matrix in question?

### I get ERR: DOMAIN everytime I try to inverse a matrix

1. First, Press the "MATRX" button

2. Next, enter a matrix into the calculator. To enter a matrix, press the arrow that points to the right two times when the cursor highlights letter "A." This moves the top cursor to "Edit." Press "Enter" to select the "Edit" option.

3. Next,, enter the matrix's numbers into the matrix on the calculator. Press "Enter" to move the cursor over one column. Press a button that has a dash symbol within parenthesis [( - )] to move down one row. Repeat the steps until the matrix is completed.

4. Next, Press "2nd" then "Mode" to go back to the home screen. Press "MATRX" to enter the matrix screen again.

5. Finally, press "Enter" when the cursor highlights matrix "A" then press "[x^ -1]." Your screen should read "[A]^ -1." Press "Enter" again to display the inverse matrix.

Hayward Matrixs' have a one year warranty.

If it is tripping the circuit that is usually an electrical problem, and has nothing to do with the motor. Open up that back with the motor off and try to turn that shaft with a flat head, if it turns than it is an electrical problem; if it doesn't then contact Hayward directly for warranty information. Hayward is a pain to get ahold of but they are great about honoring their warranties.

The Matrixs' are fairly new and I have yet to see a shaft freeze up.

### Solving matrix

Go to your matrix button and enter a "3x4" matrix.

Then enter it as follows:

-3 4 5 7
4 3 2 9
-5 5 3 -10

Then exit out and go to "2nd->matrix->math->rref(". Then press enter.

Your screen should look like this:

rref(

Then go to matrix and select your 3x4 matrix, press enter and close it with a parathesis. Your screen should look like this:

rref([A])

Press enter and the screen should say this:

1 0 0 2
0 1 0 -3
0 0 1 5

So,
x=3
y=-3
z=5
