Question about HP LaserJet 2100 Printer
I've an HP 2100tn, excellent printer, but recently it has started to print with 3 stripes of strange characters on the print out. The characters are probably dirt somewhere, but they print in 3 positions on the paper, to the left and right sides of the page (not in the middle), the first about 1 1/2 inches from the top, the second in exactly the middle (length-wise), the last about 2 inches from the bottom of the page. The printed text/pictures print fine, but each page has these lines of noise/dirt/characters on them.
I've tried the inbuilt cleaning cycles for the cartridge and engine, no difference.
Any suggestions, or is this probably somethign that will correct itself over time ?
Is your transfer roller clean?
How does the drum look on the toner cart?
Is the fuser getting bad?
Would you consider this an old image that is ghosting?
