No red color

I have a sony kdf-e50a10, 3-lcd television and the red color does not appear to be working. The picture seems to be predominantly green, blue and yellow. Could it the lamp or a bad lcd. I have read alot about light blocker problems people are having and blue blobs. Is this an indication of future problems?
