The player will not read the disc. I have done my best to clean the laser. It still spins but does not recognize that a disc is in. It spins it without a problem, but never reads that the disc is there.

This is an old unit and none are available. My problem is that this goes in a console in my car so the size of the unit going in the console is a perfect unique fit.

How can I repair the laser eye? I suspect that the eye has gone bad.

I'm having the same problem with this unit. It spins, but then displays "NO DISC". Any help would be appreciated.

That would be your laser pick-up try calling reds repair at 870-421-1294 they stock many audiovox parts.
