with a scart lead Connect the VCR's Scat (TV OUT PUT) to The TV's Scart ( IN PUT) Port 1 or 2 it doesn't matter which one, then take your aerial cable coming in from the roof & put it in your digi box(ANTENNA IN) Then a cable from (TV OUT ) on digi box in to(ANTENNA IN) on VCR or from digi box out to the VCR's SCAT IN with a scart lead.
if you have followed the sky instructions and connected the aerial to the sky box first, don't. Always connect the aerial to the digital tuner first as the sky box and any other equipment will reduce the signal strength.
Turn Off the SKY box power and leave it off for 30 mins. Put the card back in to the box and turn it back on. Also make sure your phone line is connected OK. If this does not cure the problem contact SKY for assistance and possibly a new Card. They are also replacing all the viewing cards at preasent.
I would advise connecting your sky box to the TV with a scart cable or better still a HDMI cable & not the RF cable. The reasons for this sre
1.. You should get a much better quality of picture from Sky
2.. You will not need to tune in the TV just go to the AV or HDMI input source to obtain the sky channels.
I believe that the Humax can only output 1 channel and because it has no built in hdd and twin channel capabilty that is all you can record 1 channel (unlike sky +/sky HD) so that means also that unless you watch a different source (like the picture from your aerial (terrestial channels)) you are stuck with having to watch the channel you record
